I used the 4x4's with holes drilled in the ends for rebar to stick up and used them to hold fire wood on my deck also. The rebar was from the grid that went in the bottom of the "pool".

I did not and you DO NOT want to cover it because of the gas given off, hydrogen, and could cause explosion if trapped. I even did this during a hurricane just picked out the leaves that got in there.
If you can start on something small in a bucket so you see how it works then go big. That is what I did.

    Hope this helps

I used this site to get started Rust removal by electrolysis

I don't know what mil it was but was thick. I had a roll of it that someone left behind and used it. I may have double it up, don't remember it was so long ago.
I did use cheap paneling on the inside as the water wanted to push the plastic out between the 2x4's.
You could use a trap over plastic to hold the water and if I had a trap I would have used it.

I don't know if I said this but I used 2 x 4 Basics to make 2 x 4 Basics out of the 2x4's for the deck when done. All the wife kept saying was all this money for wood that was going to sit around. I already knew I was going to make the bench/table but did not tell her till I made 2 of them for a full size table.

    Hope this helps

GreyGhost85-- the jump was on a sand bar on the Mississippi River. I grew up in the bootheel and we played on the river and all the mud down that way. Used to love to go to Lesterville before the streams act happened.

Smores250-- If you want ot come and look and see what I got, your more than welcome. We can put your name on the parts. Like I reposted today, the bigger stuff I will need to wsell cause Scrap Metal is paying pretty good right now. I don't really have a good bed but you can look at what I have. If you want to make a road trip I will be home this weekend except for Sunday morning. Easter you know!
