Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 19 balmy degrees under overcast skies. Pond is covered with skim ice, but the river is running clear if anyone feels up for a swim. River Otters visited this morning and seem to think the water is fine.
Supply run to Bend later today. Taking the trailer and bringing back a ton of pellets along with the Milk.
We got some snow this afternoon, not much but the ground is white.
Had to do an emergency repair on a buried electrical splice today. Our Greenhouse, hay barn and fence charger lost power, the old splice let water in and the rest is history. I replaced both old splices.
Morning all from sunny OKC. Temps in the upper 60's yesterday but a bit cooler today. Pretty easy drive just long. Took 2.5 days to get to Grove OK. Why Grove you might ask? Wife has been looking at houses so she up a viewing of a house on Grand Lake. Nice place on the lake with a boat dock. She is wanting to be closer to her daughter and we are looking around since the cost of living is so much less in this area. Crazy I know. Gas is $2.19 to $2.50/gal. Property taxes are way less and almost everything simply costs less here. Father in law has also proposed to sell his place in CDA and we go in together on a place that has an ADU/guest house for him so we are all mortgage free. So here we are kicking it around.
The horse show has been delayed a week due to a EHV/M outbreak. The show has been cut in half and only reining is going to happen so we have some time on our hands. Hoping to get to the Federal building memorial today. We've been doing a ton of driving and was in Sherman yesterday to help out the daughter clean up the rental house they were in. That was only a 3 hour drive one way. LOL Today is going to be a lazy day.
Anyway that is the short version. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and will report in later. I think we are doing a Cracker Barrel thanksgiving since move in to the show is midnight tonight through tomorrow.
