Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Wet, rain and 40°. We seem to have dropped a degree in the last couple of hours. No snow on the Willamette Pass or on the 138, Diamond Lake Hwy. It's late this year. Willamette Ski resort gave up on a Thanksgiving opening and were advertising a December 12th opening. My guess, since its 46.7° there with rain, that the 12-12 opening is a little optimistic unless they have wheels for skis, snow boards and sleds.
Road trip to Alpha this afternoon. Warden has a dentist appointment tomorrow morning, then the car gets and oil change and tires rotated, friends to visit and a Christmas party to make the final preps for.
We also have a rat problem at Alpha I'm working on. I may end up having to spend a week or two there with a couple of the cats as so far, nothing I've tried seems to have been very successful. They seem to be onto the traps and the poison. Avoiding it. I'm going to reinforce the attic door they chewed two holes in with metal plates & strapping. I plugged the first one I found last week, but they chewed a new on just to the side of the patch. I may also call the exterminator we have on contract for the Sportsmen's Association Club house and see what idea's he has.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 44.9, very wet and soggy at Alpha Compound. S. Yamhill River is just about at capacity. Those with houses tight on the banks have got to be sweating right about now.
Sitting in the dentist Office waiting on the Warden.
Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Dogs went to the Kennel-Pet Motel at the Vets today. A short stay acclimation. They’ll be spending 3 nights and 4 days with them next week while we go on our anniversary trip. Meanwhile at the shooting range in McMinnville.
