Good trip to Idaho. I so like it there. Dropped off the 2 healers to the FIL and we are taking the 2 littles with us.
Looking forward to heading east for sure. I'm ready for the open road and to check out the area. We also may look at property. We are kicking around the idea of moving that way but at this point it's just an idea. I'm torn as everything I like to do, I do here. On the other hand, once I'm gone, wife would likely sell our place and move that way anyway so maybe the thing to do is move sooner than later so she is not doing that by herself. All of the fun things to think and talk about these days.
Good afternoon gang. Had a busy few days, Friday brought in another 64 Ford Galaxie, some long tream storeage and to work on over the winter for my Grandson. Spent some time working on Sons Expidition also over the weekend. Then started on Diane's red SHO, just waiting on parts, they are in today's mail... Hope to haveit back togarther in a day or so...
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 21, frosty - frozen fog, and fog that is light below tree top level now and solid cloud at / above tree top.
Made it home from the wilds of Eastern Oregon and now have to unpack and start winterizing stuff. Turned the furnace on in the camper until I can get out there and winterize the water lines. Have a gallon of RV Antifreeze standing by just for that reason. I have that and unpacking to work on today, the SxS looks like it was given a mud bath and it needs and oil and filter change. Snoopy has an appointment this afternoon at the vet so, it is going to be a very busy day or two or three.......
Trip was good, weather so-so, but the elk could have cooperated a little better. A couple of the guys left early Sunday morning with all of the meat we had, headed to the butcher and then on to home.
Even though we didn't all score a spike elk, we did get other animals for the freezer and saw many others that were a real treat. We ran across badgers, martins, snowshoes, bears, cougar, elk, deer, turkeys and other critters. Trying to get some pictures off of the phone to the computer, but for some reason, the two are being stubborn and not talking to each other. I'll work on that later.
Rich, safe travels. When we took our trip to Texas, it turned into a 3 1/2 month trip. Sooooooooo, many things to see and look at. Enjoy.

Morning all. Almost packed and ready to head east to OK on Friday morning. Sounds like there is drama at the show with an EHV outbreak in texas which has cancelled barrel races there. There are no cases at the OK at the Fairgrounds so they are proceeding as planned although there is rumor there is one horse in OK with it. Sounds like some of the trainers are not happy about that. Soooo much drama in the horse world. We will go regardless since we have already paid for our AirB&B and can't back out.
I need to do a little winterizing as well before we leave. Going to be a long week I will try an nap a bit. Treatment weeks are tiring for me as I don't sleep much. Or I'll have the wife drive...but then I don't sleep much then either.
Self-Explanatory... Doesn't show a true representation of the steepness, but you wouldn't want to take a step without being tied off with a rope... The white in the underbrush thicket is a Snowshoe. They turned really fast! When we first got up there, there were hundreds of brown bunnies running around, usually right at or after dusk. Within a week they were half and half on color and within a week and a half, they were all pure white. Pioneer homestead. Without a horse, Quad or SXS it would be a 2 day trip in and out to this place. Curious White Tail Doe A buck mule deer in rut and on a mission....
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Rained most all night. Then the skies cleared, stars and now blue sky and the temp dropped to 30. Still at 30 and the puddles skimmed over with ice.
