Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Started at 19, up to 32 under clear blue sky. Headed for Sheridan later today. Christmas Party tomorrow.
Dealing with a tire warranty problem now. Trying to get a warm, live body on the line instead of a recording. 60,000 mile Toyo Centurian II Severe Snow rated tires on the MKZ and they are worn out in less than 2 years and 28,500 miles.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 41.2 at Alpha with rain showers. Got back to the party just in time for the Christmas Parade last night.

Ford's 2001 Explorer Sportsman Concept Looks For a New Home
Made it home yesterday to fog and no sun. blah.... But coming into Oregon on 84 from Idaho sure gives you the terrain difference from Oklahoma. I don't know, it's going to be tough decision if we pack up and move east. We left at 0630 Friday morning CST and rolled into our driveway at 1430 PST Saturday. 2014 miles in 34 hours. We decided to skip the overnight stays and beat feet home. I drove the whole way. Could have shaved an hour or more off that time if the Expi had a bigger fuel tank. 24gal is not quite big enough even though it gets 20-22 mpg. 30 or 32 would be perfect so I could get over 550 miles a tank. Anyway it looks like the Ranch is less than a day and half drive.
Update on the show, Gabe was in first place for a while and then was tied at 226.5. Then the last rider (whom he was tied with for 1st) scored a 232 so Gabe got 2nd and his split was $130K which pushed him over a $1M earned which is a milestone. Since the winner was tied for 2nd and was 1st, he took home over $500K. I think Casey is a $6M rider. Like I've said, there is big stupid money in reining horses.
We had a great time but were really busy so it wasn't a "relaxing" trip. Fun and wonderful of course but not relaxing. Any free time we had we were exploring the area and seeing a few houses/places. Thursday night Gabe put me on a horse for the very first time. We had talked about it before and it finally happened. I hate to admit it but riding a hay burner was fun, I managed to do circle patterns, turns (spinning), trotting, and backing up. Hardest thing was the horse didn't always understand me which is not the horses fault. It was pretty easy to ride actually but then I was riding a totally broke and well trained reining horse that has won some shows and is worth over half a million dollars. I rode for maybe an hour and am a little sore. I used muscles I didn't know I even had. Cool stuff and was promised next time we will continue my training so I can ride and help exercise them. New job I guess.
Back to reality and chemo this week. Doctor appointment tomorrow first thing. At least I had 3 weeks of normal and didn't think too much about it. Wife has an overloaded schedule over the next week and half. Looks like we head back the CDA Idaho for christmas and get our healers from the FIL.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Heavy rain hit Bravo around 0230 this morning. Just quit a little bit ago, but showers just often enough to keep things from drying out. Started out at 38 and we've warmed up to 44.1 now. 46.2 and wet at the ski resort. They've missed 2 opening dates now and I would be very surprised if they get opened up by Christmas. Wx forecast is saying precipitation all week with snow on Tuesday night through Thursday morning. Any snow won't stick around for long as they are calling for highs in the mid to high 40's all week long.
We'll be going to Newport early Wednesday Morning.
Horses are fun Rich. Also a lot of work. Trail Riding into high mountain lakes is the greatest. Ours are all gone and I seriously doubt we'll have any more large animals. Just trophies on the Piano, pictures and memories now.
