Took an interesting drive this morning. Heavy rain and wind, car bucking and rocking. Flags and lights up for the bar but couldn’t see the tips.
They used to call our “Special Reduced Rate” at the Hallmark the “December Storm Watchers Special”. They don’t call them that anymore but it would still fit.
I noticed our yard in Sheridan could use a haircut Rich. I suppose I need to unwinterize the mower and go throw a Rooster-tail next week. Bravo isn’t too bad and if we get a layer of snow I could ignore that.
Going to the Aquarium or lighthouse after lunch. Haven’t decided yet. Member at the aquarium & a Federal Disabled Access pass for Federal Fee sights so we can get into both for no charge.
Yesterday afternoon…. Cooks Chasim Seal Rock area / wayside Park Birds at Seal Rock Our Suite on arrival. A Happy 47 th anniversary greeting and a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator. Yesterday afternoon from our top floor balcony. Crab boat working pots along the north reef. Yaquina Head Lighthouse Just a couple of minutes ago, no visible jetty’s Visibility down to 1/3 mile at best. All rain, salt spray & wind. Light House not visible
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. High winds, heavy continuous rain & having a good time. Meanwhile I’ve gotten two emergency alerts for heavy rain and flooding in Sheridan and one for dangerous high winds at the Gilchrist property.
No need to charge off to either place when I can stay right here in Newport and have all 3 conditions in one kettle.
