Got a message from a friend on a ranch outside of Deary ID. He was out mowing a couple of acres a couple of days ago. No snow there this Christmas. Usually, long before Christmas his dad had one of the horses hooked to the sleigh and doing sleigh rides. They’re gone now but not forgotten.

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 39.9 at Alpha with no precipitation at the moment but heavy overcast. Finishing up a minor project here and then we’ll take off for Bravo Compound.
29 up on the Willamette Pass and snowing. Cams on the summit show no signs of snow plows yet nor does 97 in Crescent. Could get interesting.
Bravo Compound cameras show snow building up but so far we should be able to drive into the house.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else from Bravo Compound. 24 and about 3"-4" of snow. doesn't look like anymore has come down yet since last night. Wx guessers are saying clear sky and smooth sailing until at least Wednesday. Wear a coat though, temps running from 13 to the mid 40's with a high or 50 on Wednesday.
