We did get power back sometime before noon, when we came back in sometime around noon we had power. I was using my phone this morning VZW internet. The big generator is our personal generator, it's not really that big, it's all relative right. It is a 13 Kw generator but compared to our 2000 watt Honda's it's big. I'm hoping it's just bad gas, but I could not find a way to drain the calibrator. I tore into it today, after I got the fuel tank off so I could see the carburetor, I found out how to drain it. I still couldn't get the carburetor off, there is a small electrical connector on the bottom of the carburetor that I can't figure out how to get it off/unplugged. I decided to bold the it back together, drain the carburetor and try it...... Well, I forgot and left the key on last time I tried to start, probably week ago or longer. Now that we have power back, I have a battery charger on it.

Once we get things setup correctly we will be able to hook the generator up at the shop and power our freezer, cold storage and water well. It won't power anything at the house, but the freezer, cold storage and water well are our main concern. If need be we can power the refrigerator and coffee pot with our little Honda's.

Evening Tim, Wayne and Preston. Our power was off for a short time in the nite, just enough to be a nuisance but glad it came back on. I use a 6500-watt gen when the power is off for a while. I keep that downstairs in the cellar of the house and it has not given me any trouble with keeping it a steady warm temp. I have to drag it out thru the cellar door which is walk out ground level and then hook it up when needed.

I got it going, and I finely dug out the manual. And you know what, there was instruction in there on how to drain the carburetor. You know what they . Sometimes I'm a slow learner.

Sensational soggy Saturday morning Washington, Tim, Wayne, Steve, Ken, Preston, Wayne, Ken, and all the crew.

Tim, Glad your power is back on, and the generator is fixed and running. It is amazing what they put in them Manuals. Too bad it becomes a critical issue before we decide to dig them out and actually read them!
What white sheet we had yesterday is gone with the rain and 43° yesterday. Rain this morning and 45° as a high, breeze and overcast all day!

Tim, I am guessing you have a well on site?! You also have a tap for the water system you are overseeing?

Howdy Friends,

Rod, you are correct, we have our own well that we mainly use for irrigation, watering our animals and water in the shop. The community system is used in the house only.

Joyous Sunday morning Washington, Tim and all the crew. Starting the day at 41° and overcast. But the Soothsayers say we will be mostly sunny and be near 60°. That will make for a nice day to Porch se t at Mom's after Church and Church crew lunch!

I hope everyone has a great and Blessed day!

This is has been such a wet start to winter……….. I am tired of it. Ugh. 😣

At least it’s not snow. The older I get the more I don’t like the snow. So weird, when I was younger I enjoyed all the snow I could get.

Blessed Sunday evening Washington, Tim, Preston, Steve and all the crew.

Preston, I to find as I have gotten older and re-retired, I like cold, frozen and white a lot less! I spent too many a year where I had no choice but to be out in it and I am not even talking about getting to and from work! It was all the driving I was required to do while at work!

Tim, I will admit my woods had a beautiful day and even with maybe some rain the next couple will be the same. After that it is down hill!

Steve, Glad you had a good day at Church and I take it you got a Deer! Good eating. We would can a lot and have it for later in the year.
