Here is a photo out my front door just befor going to bed. Someone during the night it started raining. It's going to be a chore to clean up today. I'll probably chain up the tractor which is a chore in its self.
Evening Tim, sounds like a good day to forget to me. Snow is always a lot of work. Once it is all cleaned up and there is not a lot of ice to step on, I don't mind it too much but it seems once it starts for earnest, it just keeps coming and my days get reduced to clearing snow and fixing the fire! Guess I should be glad I still can.
Dentist is another thing.
We had a sunny day yesterday and my new Honda snow blower that I've had since the winter before last and only used twice worked great! It charged through that wet stuff like there was no tomorrow. I was impressed.
Evening Tim and Nickolas. Stayed near the home fire mostly today. I was trying to find a replacement bearing for a Ford tractor hydraulic pump I picked up to rebuild a couple of weeks ago. I was not finding much until after at least 45 mins, I realized that I had read the little numbers on the edge of the bearing wrong. I had been searching for a Federal S207 when I should have looked for a Federal 5207. They were all over! Old eyes are not too handy sometimes!
Good morning WA...and...wandering postitutes...Happy Weekend Eve!!! Got a bit of white crap coming this afternoon/evening...shouldn't amount to much though.
Tim...I had a Honda blower for 25 years...I believe it was a 7/29...never failed to start despite spotty at best service. The only reason I don't have one now is that I inherited my father's Ariens about 12 years ago...great machine...and...it's a young 'un at 17 years old. Always starts...despite the same spotty maintenance....only changed 1 shear pin in all that time.
Well pooh I think the fancy differential cover I impulse purchased on black friday from Banks might not work on my truck! Ugh. Looks like I'll need to make a trip down to the barn and take a peek at what my differential cover looks like.
Sensational Saturday morning Washington, Tim, Ken, Steve, Ken, Wayne and all the crew I missed!
In my West Virginia woods, it is a sunny 33° and what little sheet and sleet fell last night is gone!
Tim, I hope Maria and you are set and settling in for a long winters nap!
Officially it is winter and the shortest day of the year which means we are headed to Spring 88 Days!
Starting the the at 34° and cloudy. I'm going to work on modifying the handles on my Honda snow blower today. They are very low especially when turning or backing up.
Afternoon Tim. Being 6 foot 2 inches, I find almost everything has too short a handle/s. OH, wifey has the same problem being 6 foot!
When we redid the bathroom, the cabinet and sink are on a 3 inch pedestal so I don't have to bend over. In the near future when the Kitchen Cabinets are replaced, they too will be in a 3 inch pedestal.
