Washington's 2024 BS Thread
Steve, I must have missed it that you got a deer. I'm not a hunter but Maria and I both love venison. Years ago I worked with a guy that loved to hunt deer but he was the only one of his family that would eat, he give us most it. Before he retired he started trophy hunting, either he wouldn't get one or one time he gave us some meat that was to fowl to eat.
Weekend flew by and I did way too much and not enough sleep!
My oldest came home from college so it's a mad dash getting a bunch of maintenence done on his car. At Les Schwab now waiting to put his studded tires with dedicated wheels on, then tomorrow we're going to do a oil change and tune up then on Wednesday Its getting another windshield. Wow makes me tired thinking about it all.
Then if I have any time I need to chip away on my projects in the barn. Weee
I went turkey hunting yesterday...shot me a big one. I'm not allowed back in that supermarket...ever.
Buck season started today and I haven't herd but one shot in the distance and that is very unusual. I hunted most of my life and after Dad passed, I just haven't felt like it. That has been some 15 years. Plus we don't have a freezer anymore and I would have to process and can 90% of the deer.
Started the morning at 46°, now overcast and 58° with a predicted high of 62°! Rain tonight and into tomorrow and after that my woods spiral into the freezer for Thursday and the weekend. Rain, sheet and in the 30's through the weekend!
I am over this and ready for my sunny 75° and 80° day in my Sandals and Thong setting out front!
1530 and it is still 61° and the rain has been pushed back to - well disregard that. Radar had nothing about 20 minutes ago and as I was typing I heard a noise over the barn camera and well it is raining!
But they say it will be storms about 2300 to 0100!

It will be an OK Fall Day in my woods with some sun and 52° but started the day overcast and 46°. I did have about 1/4 inch of rain last night into this morning. But we start the spiral downhill to the mid to low 30's through the weekend. Rain and white Sheet on Thanksgiving Day is still a tossup. We will see! LOL
I hope everyone has a good and Blessed day!
I hope everyone is going to have a great thanksgiving. Our daughter, her husband and our grandson are visiting for the week. We are blessed to have this time with them. Our two boys will be coming over as well.
Been slowly working at the rear axle of the F100. In these temps it takes a lot longer for the paint to dry and cure. Two coats of primer and two coats of gloss black paint with hardener added. Just waiting for it to cure……….⏰

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day...any plans??? I'll be headed to my niece's for a small get together...not many of us around the area any more. MA Nature isn't cooperating though...about an inch of rain...then turning colder and up to 4" of white crap!!!

Hope y'all have a great day!!!
Started the day in my woods at 34° and overcast. The said heavy overcast all day and the high will be 53°. 1100 and it is 45° and some nice sun is out. But about 2200 the rain is supposed to move in and last into tomorrow morning. But the good part is the overnight will be in the mid 40's and most likely no white sheet.
I hope everyone has trained and ready for tomorrow and the Big annual day of Gluttony! Teh good part for most it is a 4 day weekend and you will have time to recover and stop all the moaning by the time you go back at whatever it is you will be doing Monday! LOL
