Had a visit from the 6X6 during a break in the storm at 0022 this morning. He's been on a 5 day 'walk about'. Shut all the lights off int he house, but it was too dark to eyeball him. The previous owners had hung a barn yard light up in a Ponderosa in the river bottom / meadow. He said they ran an extension cord down to it from the electrical box they had put in by the North Frost Free. He said the elk would get used to it and didn't seem to mind it. They could see them with the light on. I may try that at some point. The light is still in the tree down there.
Haven't seen the 5X5 or the 6(?)X7 in a couple of weeks now.
Lights are on, there must be somebody at home1
I never had a problem using dielectric grease on the distributor on the mustang in Hawaii or back here at home. I just had to reapply it every other month or so.
The vans distributor is on the back of the engine, it's a bit of fun to pull the center console and the dog house.
The distributor cap is a bad design and know issue. Why does a 2003 still have a distributor?
Picked up a ton of wood pellets at Wilco in Bend and then stopped at Gordy's Truck stop for dinner on the way home. No forks for the tractor, and if it would lift the ton of pellets, it would probably tip over on its nose. So, tomorrow, I have a ton of pellets to unload. The wood box at the house will hold about 12 bags so I'll bring those to the house in the bucket on the tractor.
Been having some morning downpours around here.

Waiting for the break in the showers so I can pull the pickup out and get started on unloading the pellets.
Got the pellets off the pickup yesterday afternoon, 12 bags to the wood box and 'on deck' area of the hearth, the rest in the pole barn on a pallet. I don't have any forks for the tractor, and even if I did, lifting a ton would probably tip the tractor up on its nose.
We had a very bright full moon last night and had some elk (all cows and calves) move in around 2200. They came right up into the yard and trimmed the grass. We killed all the lights in the house and sat in the front and dining room windows and watched. Set up a camera for night vision shots and got some pictures. Typical NVS being a little grainy and not clear, but with the full moon, some of them came out pretty good, especially for shooting through the window glass.
