Yes, I did take the dub/trip and tanker endorsements when I did my permit so good to go there. Pretty cool to have an unrestricted Class A CDL. I'll never be unemployed now and I've secured my retirement gig. haha.
Check off, "Learn to drive a semi truck" on the bucket list.
Howdy all. Had to travel to Enterprise today and get my ODFW check so since I have some cell coverage….
Cattle roundup here is now in full swing so I made an adjustment to where I was hunting here.
Funny thing happened on the way to a ridge line I was going to hike this morning. Two deer ran across the USFS road in front of me. One was a doe but couldn’t tell on the other. So, since I was dressed & equipped for a long day in the woods, I decided to head off after them.
Well, I had a chance encounter with something else I happened to have a tag for & he didn’t seem to think the mountainside was big enough for the both of us. The .308 did its job in a very admirable & humane manner. It may not have a trophy rack, but it’s ‘meat in the pot’.
All the gooberment red tape done with and he has his special gooberment blue tag, so it’s back 25 miles into the land of no cell phones or internet.
Nice job Jim. One of those boom sticks is on my build wish list.
I wondered around the woods yesterday and only saw a small heard of elk. No deer. I now know where all the Weyerhaeuser permit holders are since I have never seen anyone around Valsets and Black Rock. They are all at Grand Ronde, behind the casino and it's no wonder why... what a great area. Was going to go today but too much to do. Tuesday we head to Canyonville for a work conference then we head to Gold Beach for a few days.
