Evening everyone. I came home to a mess this evening. The AC drain plugged up and there's water all over the floor in the utility room and the hose between the tank and the filler neck rotted out in Grease Monkey's Kia which makes filling the tank a rather messy proposition. She's got it torn apart, but I've got to figure out a makeshift hose that'll pull a 90 degree turn in about 6 inches of length. Factory correct is out the window and generic fuel filler hose won't make the turn. Of course she has to be at work by noon. I've already let the boss know I won't be in...

So I think I found the exhaust leak in Earthquake. I built a header today for the passenger side. Tomorrow, I'll get the driver's header done and load the big guy back up.

You sure that was leaking? It looks fine to me.

Nice work there Alan. I'm sure the big guy sounds much better now.

Dave, speaking of exhaust, use an exhaust elbow and two straight pieces of hose for the fuel filler.

Good Morning Everybody!

I need to figure out a way to keep the rain off of me so I can build the other header today and get my buddy back in the trailer.

I thought about that, but there's just not enough room. By the time I cut the elbow down enough to fit, there's not going to be much left to clamp a hose to.

I've bodged it back together temporarily using a molded radiator hose section until a similar section of fuel rated hose comes in. It's a terrible way to fix it, but it'll last until we both have time to do it right.

I may take you up on that offer next week. Gotta shop and prep for this weekend. Homemade bbq sauce and potato salad need to be done in advance and in batches. I will pm you to work out the details.
Thanks.

Well, someone was supposed to come over "late morning" to look at the farm tractor. No call, no show. ....shocking. I even aired up the tires and everything! Some people's kids, I swear. Back to building headers, I guess.

So far it looks like I'm 2 for 2 today. I won't know for sure until I get it dried out down there.

I finally got around to ordering parts to get the AC system in the dually back up and running. Compressor, accumulator, high pressure line with orifice tube, seals, and condenser will be on their way. I'll either have to take it somewhere to get it charged back up or find a vacuum pump I can use for a while.

Good Morning Everybody!

Dave. I have the pump and gauges here. If you feel like making a road trip, I can help you out.

The guy that was supposed to come by yesterday for the farm tractor said he got tied up and would be here at 11:00 to pick it up. Pardon me if I don't hold my breath. I got the tubes done on the second header for EQ, so I just have to put the collector on it then bolt it up. I also have to drop off some parts to get shipped out. Looks like a busy day. I'll be home this weekend. The show in Minnesota was covered by another team, but the promoter is interested in doing other shows with me, so there's that.
