Today is Carina's last first day of high school. She's a senior this year.
I got the tuning done on EQ yesterday and got him put back together. Now I just have to give him a bath and put him back in the trailer for Bigfoot open house next month. After I finish trimming the yard, it's back on bumper duty and see about dropping the hauler off for a PM service.
I got EQ shined up and put away. While I had the pressure washer out, I cleaned the front and back of the house and the back steps, too. Our house is gray again, no more green with algae. I also took the hauler up for service. All new filters, oil change, chassis lube and trans fluid change. The mechanic said it was in pretty good shape other than it needing one shock and brakes on the drive axles. So I guess I'm not done spending money on it just yet, but we're getting close. (I hope)
Good morning all, got a cooler full of ice cream treats and headed to the power plant. That ought to buy me a trip to the turbine deck. Have a great day all!
Wanna know how my luck runs? I thought I had a singular blown speaker in the hauler. I bought a new set of speakers. Nope, it must be the head unit, right? NOPE!!! There's apparently a mystery auxiliary amplifier in the truck somewhere, because I can NOT get the new head unit to play, so now I'm stuck replacing EVERYTHING including all the wires just to get sound out of the speaker above my head. What, the actual f%^k??!!
Get with the century you live in and ditch the 8 track or cassette player...Nothing beats a smart phone with a bunch of music on it and a bluetooth speaker. Just picking on ya you technology challenged wrench bender, cell phone hater.
Morning all. Woke up at 4 AM for some reason this morning. So I got busy in the cool of the morning. Sure didn't take long to break a sweat. Just stopped to grab some coffee and a little breakfast.
Alan, at least replacing everything you'll know what you've got. But I do agree with Rich tunes on your phone is the way to go. Since my 2016 F150 has XM radio I have a phone app for that, also have Pandora too. It's nice to have music from the 50s, 60s, 70s & pop all at your finger tips.
Even if I had tunes on my phone, I'm not holding the phone up to my ear while I'm driving down the road. The speakers didn't work. Replacing the head unit did nothing. So even if I put a brand new blue tooth capable stereo in the truck and played my phone through it, it still won't play because of the hidden factory amp I can not find or unhook. I would have to go through all the exact same work to get music to come out of my speakers. ....and all I want is a friggin' radio. Tiff's new car has satellite radio and it never fails, whenever I get in, it's playing some weird "balled of making me want to kill myself" music. Just give me a country radio station and I'm a happy camper.
The battle continues today to get music to play clearly through the hauler speakers.
