good morning missouri.. sounds like life is treating everyone well.....
hopefully i can sneak over to town and do a few errands without the gestapo catching me.. i dont know what the ticket for driving with expired plates would be ..but dont really need to find out.. ha ha ha ha ..
i need to build me a buggy so i can use my horse.. no insurance, license plates, state inspections and i wont even need my drivers license anymore..... sounds like a good plan to me...
I see them on CL from time to time, usually around Seymore. Not cheap.
i sure cant afford to buy a buggy that someone else built.. but i can hammer a few boards onto some kidda old frame, air the tires up, tie it to my poor ole horse... and boggie on down the road...
Yard sale is cleaned up. I got the north field and the back yard knocked down. On Wednesday, the grass was 4" high. Today it was a foot deep! I found me some aluminum slots for my new daily driver, so I'll add that to the list of things to do tomorrow.
I met the daughter/SIL, grandkids in Spg for a late lunch. Managed to get outa Bass Pro with all my money still in my pocket. Mowed one I got home and now working on getting ready to have the step son and his wife and their 2 granddaughters (which I have not seen, since they were both born in Hawaii)....be here on Wednesday.
Jeff just got home 2 days ago from a year long tour over on the island of Ilha Terecira. He was at Lajes Field, which is a Portuguese Air Base that the US Air Force is at. He is going to Fairchild AFB in Washington state next, so looks like a trip to Washington State is in the near future.
Morning all. Guess I'll try to garden a little before it gets too hot. Then maybe I'll make it over to the bodyshop and finish up wiring the cab of the 56.
I didn't get everything done that I wanted to, but I did alright. The turndowns are done on the headers and they're reinstalled. I got the new starter on. Since the new starter is 3" shorter than the old one, I had to make a new battery cable for it, but that's done, too. Then I road tripped up to Lebanon to get a set of aluminum slots for my new daily. I bought a nice fender while I was there. If anyone wants a SUPER nice '74 F-100 2wd with a 360 and a C6, let me know. Scott is selling his for $5K and it's road trip ready. Green with a green interior. No, I didn't get any pictures.
good morning missouri.. glad to see ya'll are getting things done.. i have not hit a lick at a snake in days ...... i dont have anything that really needs to be done right now anyway...
We're getting closer boys! Floors are going in finally....3 months late. Trying to beat them and get this drywall finished before they get to some of the other rooms But I'm older now and my getty up done gone.
No not the shop. Its the house next to the shop. Total renovation.. .by the wife, kids, two buddies and myself. Been 9 months so far. Everday for me. Before and after work and my days off. Bout done though.
Well that is looking pretty nice then, for being a DIY job. My dad built a couple of the houses I lived in while growing up. That whole "Before and after work and my days off" can make for a long hard road. Hang in there.
