Is it the dealers responsibility for the last leg?

Seems like since Ford charged the outrageous Destination & Delivery fee they would be the ones responsible. My dealer told me they only knew a date range of when it would arrive. Surely if they were arranging carriage they would know precise dates. (They also said most of their deliveries were out of Atlanta but the rail car mine was on was off-loaded in Birmingham.)

No, the dealer is not involved until the vehicle shows up at the lot unfortunately.

Just received an unexpected update from dealer:
Truck in on the ramp at the factory.
HOWEVER, dealer states has no idea if it is built or not.

Also has no idea if it is only kind of hold.
Asked about possible microchip hold and again he had no idea. Said it could happen at any time.
Asked him about a copy of the VVR and that was a negative.

I want to presume it is due to ship soon due to info on shop.ford.com.
Online tracker shows ETA of 1/18/2022. However interesting tidbit shows it went into production YESTERDAY, 12/21 but it was supposed to have BEEN in production since 12/09. I give up trying to figure out what kind of fuzzy math Ford is using for producing these things.
Window Sticker has also not changed

Fingers crossed it gets here sooner than later.

I never understand the resistance to showing the VVR unless they are not being forthright. My dealer takes a screenshot and sends me that each time there is an update.

My truck is showing the same thing Finally shows in production 12/21 and eta of 1/18 but my window sticker number changed at the bottom from 12/14 to 12/22 don’t know what it means. Not getting my hopes up on the ETA probably won’t be here till February

I'm frustrated beyond belief with the dealer. I've been dealing with them for over 20 years. First time ordered a vehicle with them. NOT what I had expected, if you disregard the current manufacturing issues everyone is experiencing.

If you have an ETA, does that indicate the truck is built? Mine has been in production since the 10th, but there is still not ETA on the tracker.

My understanding is yes. BUT I have an ETA of 1/7/22 but my truck also has a HOLD on it. So that date may very well get passed right by.

Good question. Logic would dictate it SHOULD be built but dealer cannot/will not confirm one way or another. I would not expect an ETA if it wasn't built, myself. However the dealer is constantly saying they don't know or cannot confirm anything. I'm not one of the sheeple who just takes stuff at face value if I believe there is more to a situation. The dealer is apparently not used to someone like me wanting more than the typical brushoff answer to things.

There are a few of us that have trucks with ETAs on the 'tracker' and on the VVR but the trucks are on chip hold. Some people have already blown past their ETAs and the trucks are still 'in production'. Don't put any faith in dates if your truck is on chip hold. It is basically in a black hole now until 1/17 after the shutdown.

I get the potential for Chip Hold, but dealer states they have no idea if it is or not. Will not confirm with VVR. I do not know how to find out otherwise.

Why will they not share the VVR with you?

A few of us have speculated that a change on the bottom date signifies something major. But that's all it is. Speculation.
In my case when the date went from 12/4 to 12/11, the truck was built on 12/11. That date remained on the sticker until 12/19. I received an email saying that the truck shipped on 12/13 but the bottom date did not change at that point. I don't know what, if anything 12/19 signified, but the truck arrived at dealer the evening of 12/20.
I have the truck as of yesterday so I'm not following these details as closely now. But I'm still interested in learning if anyone ever does find out. If we learn things of this nature we can maybe help the next guy that comes along.

The date on the bottom of mine was 12/7 when It went into production on the tracker. It then changed to 12/14 on the bottom. It went into production the 15th on the tracker but dealer told me it was built the 13th and sent offsite. Its been stuck in production since the 15th on the tracker. Bottom date just changed today to 12/22. Dealer keeps telling me status is the same. Which doesn't say its on hold or anything so idk wtf is going on
