For those of you that are posting that your trucks were built in early December, when did you order and what were some of the details on your trucks?
Also how do you know it has been put on hold for chips after being built?
So my truck went in production on 12/3 and was built 12/10 but is on hold in production due to a chip. Has anyone else been put on hold for a chip after the truck was built? If so how long did you have to wait?
My order was confirmed on 10-1, scheduled on Nov 16, window sticker available on 12-13. No if its been built or not. Those who are saying theyre experiencing chip issues are getting information from a report the dealer has called the vehicle visibility report. Thats something that apparently becomes available after the truck has gone into production.

ordered 9/4. 12 days later got the scheduled for production 10/25 email. Then moved to 11/8, 11/15, 11/29, 12/6. Finally built 12/10 (on hold now). F350 DRW Platinum 6.7L 4.10 rear end. No AS, but I do have spray in bed liner.

Ordered 11/2, built 12/8, shipped 12/10
F350 Lariat Ultimate dually 4.10. Almost same truck. I'm guessing spray liner is the issue. I cancelled my liner and fifth wheel prep kit to move thins along faster.

we ordered 06/16/21 just moved into production last week… F-250 lariat ultimate black appearance srw 6.2 liter 3.73 spay in bed liner. I’m not sure what we ordered so wrong that we have been waiting 6 months and still can’t get an estimated delivery date.

I am now convinced, this scheduling problem is well beyond a "supply chain" issue.
Called the dealership today since the last communication from Ford said it was scheduled to built the week of 12/20, and I still did not have a window sticker. They informed me it's now scheduled for the week of 1/24, and looking at how you've been pushed back I am not holding my breath it'll be even built then!
There's no rhyme or reason to any of this anymore; Trucks built within just a week or two of the order; trucks built and shipped the next day; trucks built awaiting shipping for weeks; trucks ordered in the spring still without a VIN; my dealership having information that I'm apparently not capable of getting.
This has to be nothing short of a dumpster fire at Ford right now.

Ordered 10/27. Scheduled for week of 11/29 but pushed back to week of 12/6. Built 12/11, shipped 12/13. XLT Premium crew cab 7.3. Not a ton of options. Console front seat, Powerscope mirrors, cab marker lights and center high mount stop light camera. That's pretty much everything ordered that didn't already come on the Premium package.
The quote below is the type of thing I was alluding to previously when someone else posted that they thought Ford pretty much "have the various times pretty well figured out" and I posted that there would be folks who disagree with that comment.
I don't think the poster below is an isolated case.

its funny, I am working on a project for Ford right now for one of their plants in Detroit. I have daily meetings with about 20 people at ford to provide them with progress updates all while in the back of my mind im thinking "you make me update you daily and the only information I get is "order confirmed"

Kind of ironic, isn't it?
After my order confirmed email and VIN/estimated build week emails I didn't hear anything. I found out on my own by using the tracker that it had moved to "in production". I didn't hold out much hope that I'd get further updates. But to my surprise I did get emails for when it was built and when it shipped along with the estimated arrival window. You just never know anymore.
I didn’t try today but so far FordPass won’t take the VIN even though the truck was built 12/11 and shipped 12/13. I can’t make any sense of why some do and some don’t.
It seems kind of foolish to me anyway. What if the person who ordered and then entered a truck in FordPass ultimately does not take the truck? It happens.
Poncho and others trying to add their trucks to FordPass before they receive it. I was having the same issue as you all have been having. You manually type in the VIN and it says not working try back later or something like that. I found a way to create the bar code that is on the door jam that you can just scan with your phone. I just tried it and it allowed me to add my truck that is still at GFX. Hope it works for all of you: Ford Mach-E Reservation Details Viewer (seg.fyi)

The sad reality now, massive corporations no longer care about their end users or customers anymore. How do I know? I work in one of those industries that say they care out loud, but their actions speak differently, and believe when I say this, I see it every day I go to work. These too big to fail, multi-billion dollar corporations care about one thing, and that's the BOD and Wall Street, nothing more, nothing less. Most, if not all of their executive compensation is based on profits and stock price, and then there's the "golden parachutes", which, once again, is tied to stock price.
My point, the days of making sure the end user is happy and satisfied are long gone, and they could honestly give a @#$% if I walk away from their brand, because they now know it doesn't make an ounce of difference. For every one person that walks away, there's probably 5 that'll take the place in line.
Something else I noticed unrelated to this topic, I've called Ford three times since placing my order to two different 1-800 numbers for Ford, and these calls were spread out over a couple of weeks. But each and every time I called the phone connections were really bad, having the old school crackling. The 1st time I didn't give it a second thought, the 2nd time I called I thought that's odd it's still crackling, and the 3rd time a couple of weeks later to a different 1-800 number it was doing the same thing. I actually believe they are intentionally doing that, because each call I asked the person on the other if they heard it or had difficulty hearing me, and they didn't hear anything. Very odd in this world of digital communications? Wondering if anyone else whom has called the 800 number experienced this as well? Because as cynical as I am with Ford right now, I wouldn't be surprised they do this to keep the calls shorter, because it worked, it was beyond annoying for me.
