Is it the dealers responsibility for the last leg?
Seems like since Ford charged the outrageous Destination & Delivery fee they would be the ones responsible. My dealer told me they only knew a date range of when it would arrive. Surely if they were arranging carriage they would know precise dates. (They also said most of their deliveries were out of Atlanta but the rail car mine was on was off-loaded in Birmingham.)
I’m not sure how that part works. My dealer just said once it arrives at the last railyard, it gets delivered pretty quickly after that.
from the last railyard, to my dealer, it’s less than 30 minutes away.

The dealers have absolutely zero control until the vehicle is delivered to their lot. My 2017 Super Duty sat at the rail yard for 2 weeks waiting for transport up to the dealership 2 hours away. I worked with my dealer non-stop for a week and a half of that to see when it was going to come up and near the end we were trying to get approval from Ford to go pick it up ourselves.

so Ford themselves control the delivery to the dealer?
I just know my contact at the dealer said that once they arrive where mine is, they get delivered really quickly. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

I think technically Ford outsources delivery to a third party. But yes it's out of the control of the dealership. Your dealer would know best on how long it typically takes to get from the rail yard to the dealership but you also need to understand that the trucking industry is a mess right now so there could be delays with just that.

yeah I was hoping to get it by Christmas, but I doubt that’ll happen now. I think it’ll end up being one day next week. I can’t complain too much. I placed my order on 11/2, and it’s almost here.

Yeah you are almost there. I putine in on 5/20. It was finally built last week but is on a chip hold hopefully it will be released soon.
After 32 weeks, my truck is finally built. My original order went in on 4/12, only to get rejected as a 2021 on 5/10 and resubmitted as a 2022. I was confirmed on 5/10 and my production week changed 8 times before finally getting built on 12/21.
My options as as follows: - F250 Lariat Value Package - FX4 - Carbonize Gray Metallic - 6.7 power stroke - 10 speed transmission - Trailer tow high capacity - 3:55 electric locking rear end - Adaptive steering - Ultimate trailer tow camera system - 5th wheel prep - Carpet delete - All weather floor mats without carpet - Uplifted switches - Roof marker lights
I'm having the dealership install my Rhino bed liner, 2" leveling kit, and my aftermarket tires and rims. My truck went into production on 12/13 and never notified of a chip hold like others are experiencing. I'm beyond ready for this truck.
Constructive Placement - When, due to some disability on the part of the consignor or consignee, a car cannot be placed for loading or unloading and is placed elsewhere, it is considered as being under constructive placement and subject to demurrage rules and charges, the same as if it were actually placed at the designated point.

Mine was there for a few days before it went to "Placed in Industry" (couldn't find a good definition for that but I presume it means back in line for unloading in my case) for a day or so before it went to "off-loaded" with rail car being "released by customer".

Now waiting on carriage to dealer I presume.
