Not at all. Context. Several here have waited months with no word. Or had trucks show up and be a total surprise because of radio silence from Ford. There are recent comments of people who have seen the trucks sit in a rail yard for weeks, thereby not coming close to the delivery ETA. I meant that saying Ford has it "pretty well figured out" would probably have an opposing viewpoint from many here.
Personally I don't plan on speaking to the sales manager unless the truck misses the delivery window. Then I'll ask for an update and see what he has to say. But until that day arrives, following the thing across several states and calling CSX, Norfolk Southern or whoever else isn't going to speed it along to my driveway. So that's 12 days away to the end of Ford's estimate of 12/22 to 12/28.

Oh that makes sense. I didn't understand what you were saying. Sorry about that.
I honestly think Ford is doing the best they can. Unprecedented times and changes, makes for growing pains.

It's a whole new game in the vehicle world. That's why I'm just kind of patiently riding it out now that I know it's been shipped. There's not a phone call I can make or an email I can write that will change a thing. So I give them the opportunity to deliver when they say and then take it from there.

You hit the nail on the head there. It is a whole new game. But not just in the vehicle world. Many industries are struggling to get parts/components. Just goes to show how fragile the supply chain is. Especially in a JIT (Just in time) supply model. Stock piles get depleted all the way from the raw materials to the finished products causing a chain reaction.
So my truck went in production on 12/3 and was built 12/10 but is on hold in production due to a chip. Has anyone else been put on hold for a chip after the truck was built? If so how long did you have to wait?

My truck went into production on 12/2 with a 12/6 build week and a 12/10 build day. Once the tracker came back online Monday the In production date changed to 12/11. I was able to add my VIN to Fordpass on Tuesday. The dealer pulled my VVR and the truck is off-site but no other info. The truck still shows its in production. I am not expecting anything to happen to it until after the shutdown sometime in mid-January now. I don't get e-mails from Ford and once the Mach E tracker went down I lost what little visibility I had.

is the official Ford tracker showing ETA 1/1/22 for you? Base on my 5 production week slides, dates from Ford don’t carry much weight but at least gives me hope.

The Ford Tracker shows 12/31 ETA but I am not really holding my breath. The interior color is still wrong and options are still goofy.

I didn’t try today but so far FordPass won’t take the VIN even though the truck was built 12/11 and shipped 12/13. I can’t make any sense of why some do and some don’t.
It seems kind of foolish to me anyway. What if the person who ordered and then entered a truck in FordPass ultimately does not take the truck? It happens.
