Eh contact the heads of Ford Marketing. They can educate the dealer. Contact info can be found in other threads on here.
Mine expired 9/30 but is being applied to my order from May which is being built (maybe) the week of 1/17. Some dealers just don't know how to do it.
Thanks for the heads up. The dealer said he couldn't lock it in because it was a "private" offer and only "public" offers could be locked in. But, as we closer to the expiration day, I will be asking Ford to extend it. Especially since they're the reason I cannot take delivery earlier!
I had the same thing happen. Told dealer that some have had the rep lock n the deal. Dealer called the rep and was told for this pco there is no way to lock it in since i ordered it 6-15 so he had to cancel the original order and reorder. The rep said it wouldn't change the time line and i would still keep the same order number. Boy i sure hope it didn't start from scratch. Waiting sucks
Just read over at BOF that the Super Duty plant (and probably all Ford plants - didn't pay attention to the others) is going to be closed the week of 12/27, 1/3 & 1/10. Three weeks no production. Sure hope my week doesn't slip again past 12/6!!!
