Or if that even shows up you just know that the truck is built?
It says to add it to IDS so I'm guessing that's for service departments. I don't think it's a consumer file. As Lariat Driver said, at least it lets you know that the truck has rolled off the line.
Same screen I got when I looked. Of course the VIN and Vehicle Data are different that what you posted.
If this is true then it took them from Thursday afternoon to today to get my F350 built and get this far down the production process.
Fingers crossed. Maybe an early Christmas gift!?
Ok, so I can hope knowing d@MN good and well I won't see it that fast...LOL
Thanks for showing this. It has always shown invalid vin number when I try it. At least I know what shows when it works.
I imagine the AS-built data is generated quite early in the production(maybe even as early as the vin). The question is how long does it take to become publicly available in the online database.
When I entered my VIN into the link above it returned a Build Data window like the ones above. When I downloaded the data it looks like it's all blank. Do you think that the fact that it accepted the VIN means that the truck is built? Or could this just be a "data bucket" waiting for a truck with my assigned VIN?
The date on the bottom of my window sticker had been 12/2/2021 when it first showed up then went to 12/9 however unlike a couple of other guys that were notified that their trucks were built on that day I didn't get any notifications.
Since we no longer have the benefit of the spreadsheet that Phoenixfla put together for us, and for those of you wondering if your truck has actually gone down the production line you may be able to see if the AsBuilt computer modules are available for your truck. It is my understanding these only become available once they are initialized in the truck as it comes off the line. So if you can see them, your truck has been built. Your truck may still need to pay a visit to the trinket shop but at least it is off the Ford line.
just looked up a vehicle scheduled for build in Jan. It shows same thing as mine and Poncho450, which to me is nothing. And Poncho’s truck was built. So not sure what that was supposed to do.

I don't think Poncho's screenshot was for a built truck...I think it's just an example of the general screen. Of course, I could be wrong. My screenshot has a bunch of data and my vehicle is currently in production.
The screenshots Poncho450 and M1078 posted are what you will see if the truck has NOT been built. Nothing in the Address and Instruction columns. This is what mine looks like right now and my production date is coming up next week but my truck hasn't been built yet. If I put in the VIN for my current F-150 it returns many lines of code because that truck is sitting in my driveway.
The screenshot catastrofe posted is what it will look like if the truck is built. Many lines of code.
You don't have to do anything with the file, unless you are planning some ForScan changes later (another topic not intended to bogg down this thread).
Remember, this is coming from a Ford database and we all know none of those are instantaneously updated to present real-time information. There is bound to be some delay between the truck coming off the line and the AsBuilt data showing up. But at least you may have a quicker look than just waiting for the Ford You've Been Built email.
Well how about that? Looks like it might have just been built? And on a Sunday afternoon?
I'd say you can celebrate the birth of your truck!!
Yep, the plant runs three shifts seven days a week. No consolation for those of us that feel like we have waited so long that they can't ever be running the line!!
If your super duty leaves Kentucky and ends up in the Blue Island, Illinois rail yard a week later, I've been told that is a black hole for super duty trucks. Mine got stuck there about a week, with the Minnesota dealer unable to determine where it was headed and when it would leave. Then I get a call saying it arrived in Omaha instead of Minneapolis. I had requested they drop-ship it to Fremont, Nebraska, only 9 miles from where I am staying, but they said the paperwork from Ford said it was going straight to Apple Valley ford in Minnesota.
So I got to go inspect it yesterday, using the check lists posted on this site. I was not able to take possession or drive it until they get the loan papers from Apple Valley Ford for me to sign. It turned out they got 18" of snow the day they Fedexed the documents and they got delayed on their way to Memphis. So the overnight delivery may turn out taking three days. But I could get it tomorrow and after two more days of adding paint protection and under-coating and a clear bra application, I hope to get on I-80 westbound to Salt Lake City and then to Boise and Portland and Puget Island, Washington to grab a 5th wheel camper and head to Phoenix. So I'm looking forward to checking gas mileage and highway manners minus the adaptive steering I deleted.
