I contacted my fleet sales guy to get my rail car number. He said he has no visibility. I don’t get it since so many have reported their ability to track. Lazy, or is it possible?
When I asked for the rail car info, I specified that it would be on the vehicle visibility report. Maybe he just doesn’t know where it would be? The sales manager at my dealership said I was the first person who had ever asked him for it.
THIS is what is WRONG with Fords process. Ordered 8/19 built and ready to ship. Good for you for sure. My order was made 7/3, not even scheduled to be in production until 10/4. Nobody associated with Ford has any answers or suggestions. They just screw over some customers and favor others orders with no rhyme or reason. This to me is why the professed direction of more custom orders will never work for them. I will never bother ordering and waiting again...
Window sticker is live today! Mach-E, ford tracking, and spreadsheet still showing "in order processing". I'm guessing it will switch over tomorrow or later today.

I understand the frustration that comes from waiting for our trucks to be built, but don’t assume that it should simply be first in, first out in this climate. There are too many factors that determine build date, especially in these unfortunate times.
I have built to order 3 times before, and will build to order every time going forward. Too many choices and options to leave it to someone else.
good luck on your 10/4 build.

Well we disagree on that for sure. It is simply wrong to build out trucks months ahead of other orders. If there are commodity issues there needs to be communication from Ford regarding that. They need to get a LOT closer to FIFO if they think they can hold to the new direction. The 10/4 build isnt my concern anymore, I flew to Indianapolis last Friday, bought a truck off the lot Sat morning and it is in my garage. Had another manufacturer offered a product even close to what I wanted I would have jumped ship on Ford out of spite. I am perfectly content with the truck somebody else ordered. I will continue to buy trucks in stock. There is simply no excuse for how poorly they have treated so many customers. They give customers no recourse and have no remorse. Sadly their crap business practices seem to satisfy enough people that they just continue on...

I understand your frustration, but you’re arguing points I did not make. Anyway, you do you.
Bye.

I get the frustration based on perception as well but I believe there are many more variables (dealerships allocation and capabilities, commodities, gap between order books opening vs when production actually started, etc) to these cases of more recent orders getting in before much older orders. Besides that, if it weren't for the internet and its power, 99.9% of us would have no idea that someone else ordered after and got scheduled/built first.
Can things be improved? Absolutely.
Have things been bad enough to bash Ford into oblivion or switch brands? Mostly no, but everyone has their own expectations set ahead of time.
Good luck to everyone and enjoy your trucks, however you end up getting them! Cheers.

you could go buy a GM they seem to be able to produce trucks faster….. oh wait….
FIFO just wouldn't work with the current shortages. If they were to do that, they may have had to shut down the plant waiting for Adaptive Steering if that is the next order "in".
What they need to do a better job of is communicating and letting us know what options and configurations will get built fast and what may take more time.
Also, THERE ARE STILL PEOPLE WAITING FOR THEIR PURGATORY 2021s.
Well, despite the current tenor of this thread, I did successfully order a truck on 7/14. It has been delivered to my dealer as of yesterday! I know I know, pics or it didn't happen. I plan on picking it Friday when I get back in town from work. For those keeping track, and I know I am one of the lucky ones: 9 weeks order to dealer. So Stoked!
@Phoenixfla I got my 'built' email this morning. Tracking sheet caught up and am letting you know window sticker ramp code is RH80. Mach-E estimated delivery date is Oct. 10, 2021 (19 days from now).
Too many variables in every aspect of special ordering a vehicle, some of which are preventable, others, not so much.
Based on their order history, my dealer provided an expected delivery time of 7 to 9 weeks.
So far that is holding up, but, can still falter for a number of reasons.
Obviously, there have been exceptions at each end of the process, but in general, there are consistent patterns shown within the data provided by this tracking sheet.

Thanks, I have RH80 is San Antonio, is that correct?
