originally: It was late September
then move a couple times out and then I got a head start by changing my own Build Week to 11/8. And then it was built.

Interesting. My truck went "in production" on 10/28 and hasn't had any known progress since then. Darnit. Congrats on the new truck!

do you get email updates
10/28 was only a couple weeks ago but you should have gotten two emails so far.
one for a confirmation to COVP
Second one saying congratulations you are in Production.
Then I didn’t see any movement for a long time
also, I believe you have come in at a time of change. It seemed like KTP needed some time to clean up and get some commodities in. Some talked about a shut down of some sort …and maybe so but it might have been as simple as running some other product while regrouping on the Super Duty assembly. Running short all the time on parts because of commodity shortages doesn’t help. I have never been inside the plant but I have helped setting up other first line mfg plants. When something goes wrong. Vehicles have to be taken out of the way. Too many vehicles out of the way waiting on the materials starts to get really difficult and the plant begins a shuffling posture to keep the line moving. Then you have a problem with the people that come get your product from shipping they are not making it on time and you start backing up there to. Long story short, we have to realize that Manufacturing is not running as designed right now and when we pushed out another week, we’ll stay alert ask questions nicely like you are and be thankful and patient. That’s what I do anyway.
none of helps you get your truck sooner but the dark can be scary as they say.
The plant shutdown last week has delayed the builds. Looks like 2 weeks instead of 1 week before a build from sent to plant date. There have not been any builds listed for the 14th and 15th yet at this time. Hopefully the rest of the 10/25 , 11/1 and 11/8 week builds will happen soon.
they sure are carefully lining things up for the coming Production. I would say a lot of deliberate organization and placement to try catch things up for end of year.
Yep. I think that is what JackFord350 was referring to.
KTP is preparing for all of November and December but most everybody is back that week plus a few days.
also, it looks like what you are saying. Some will be getting on the Production line when they didn’t seem to have a prayer before. Some others are going to be a bit more than the 9-10 days behind and others might be a bit early.
At this point it’s not personal. It’s the Truck Plant trying to get as many orders out the door as they can before end of year.
