Can anyone else look up a railcar number for me? My dealer claims they do not have it even after I told them how to look for it. My truck has been in shipment since 10/19!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know first hand of any commodity issues. My Dealer checked in his system about 2/3 weeks ago and informed me their was NONE ! Then on this forum folks are saying their is ? Just curioius if anyone knows maybe someone actually working in the Plant and can confirm that certain options are not being able to procure, or are having a hard time getting them due to supply issues. I have among many other options the Spray in Bedliner, Hard folding Tonneau Cover and Adaptive Steering. I would really hate to change and discard these Options.

Its only been three months but seems like eternity,,, I am hoping/wishing I get a later Santa arrival in Jan/Feb time frame,,,

I have not found why they say Convoy, but I suspect it has something to do with final delivery.
I can confirm in my situation that "convoy" definitely doesn't mean semi. My dealer just confirmed that my truck is unfortunately sitting on a train in Illinois

I ordered 11/2, and got a scheduled build week of 12/6. So should I be getting an email this week for confirmation?

From a guy on Facebook:

I work at the plant these are made. Our Super Duty order bank is currently 251,000 trucks. We will be down from Christmas Eve til the end of January for retooling. If you’re looking to order one, expect a decent delay. We build around 10,000 trucks a week (barring no parts issues which have been happening a lot) including Expedition/Navigator. Appx 8500 of them are Super Duty’s. I think they’re moving special orders up the list to get them out the door, but I’d say it’ll be 4 months minimum to get one. Not official info, just going off information I have at the plant. I ordered one and it took 3 months with the order bank at 220,000 and we had one down week in that span.

My order was 10/27 with a scheduled build date this week (11/29). The date and VIN showed up the next afternoon after order confirmation. No status change or email for me yet either way. Nothing about being built, nothing about being pushed back.
A lot of reports here about Ford not really being on the stick with updates. One person reported that he got a notice that his truck had shipped when he hadn't even been notified of it being built.

My truck has just gone to shipping. Best resources have been Ford email and Mache tracker. Ford tracker and spreadsheet have been 12 or more hours behind.
After almost 9 months I have become a daily data checker.

The spreadsheet is a voluntary thing that a member did as a courtesy. He's been up front in saying that it only updates every so often. I don't think it was meant as up to the minute competition with any other source. More of a reference to see how some are getting done and some are not. Quite an effort for zero compensation.

Just checked the Ford website, and I now have this:

"In Production. Your order is being manufactured at one of our factories. This can take a few days. When you have a moment, tryout the link to your Window Sticker that is now available lower on the page."

I did click the link for the window sticker, but it still says not available. I'll try again tomorrow. So I am guessing it won't be delayed now, and it should be built 1 day next week!!! Not bad. basically 1 month after I placed the initial order. I randomly checked the Ford website. I did not get an email from Ford on this.

I also don't see my name on the tracking sheet anymore. Must be a glitch.

I totally agree. I was just providing info for the members that I have gained during the many months of following truck orders. I am thankful every day for the valuable info from the spreadsheet. Thank you phoenixfla for all you do.
