Convoy does not mean no rail. Many trucks delivered all across the US are listed as Convoy but they start by rail.

I have not found why they say Convoy, but I suspect it has something to do with final delivery.

My sticker disappeared a couple of times. Sounds like your truck is also taking a while. Mine was in production for almost a month..

Ordered April 23
- Build week Oct 25
- Scheduled day Oct 28
- Build week Nov 1
- Scheduled day Nov 3
- Build week Nov 8
- Scheduled day Nov 17
To update
- Sent to plant Nov 12
- Production Nov 20
- Release Nov 21
- Received text Nov 22 - Status awaiting shipment - Ramp 1K, Kentucky Truck - ETA Dec 20
- Lets see how long it takes to get to Alberta Canada
My F-350 was ordered May 24th. It was scheduled and delayed three times, Oct. 11, Oct. 18, and Nov. 1. Then it got built on Nov. 12th, and has been on Ramp 1K in Kentucky ever since, perhaps sitting next to yours, waiting for a northbound trail crew. ETA for me is Nov. 26th (yesterday) to Dec. 2nd. It will probably ship to Minneapolis. The dealer is in Apple Valley, Minnesota. I have tried to get it drop-shipped to Fremont, Nebraska Ford dealer just 10 miles from where we are staying, but they tell me they won't know which way it is headed until it actually ships. Meanwhile....Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock.

My truck is also headed for the cities (Coon Rapids to be exact) and it has been in a "in transit" status for nearly 2 weeks now. In fact, my delivery date got pushed back a week further to Dec 12th after it had been "in transit" for a week. My dealer said its getting shipped by truck and is basically just sitting in KY waiting to be loaded. He said they typically get the delivery the next day after the truck is loaded.

Funny story, my wife was headed to relatives in Iowa a few weeks ago and saw her new Bronco on a semi down by Owatonna headed to the Coon Rapids dealer (it was delivered 2hrs later). But that seems like an odd direction to be coming from if it got shipped from Michigan (I94 makes more sense). And the rail yard that ford uses by my understanding is in Cottage Grove (suburb of St Paul)

How are people tracking their trucks while they are traveling by rail? My ship date was Nov 20th by rail. The rig was on Ramp RA46.

Was there information on rail tracking up thread or on a separate thread? I placed my order on October 16th and fully expected a February or March delivery but now that it has been a week since it shipped, i'm real curious as to whether or not I can pick it up next weekend!

Thank you in advance!

Your sales person will have to open up the VVR and click "show full table" to see the rail car. From there, I think there are trackers for UP and BN for the rail cars. As I recall UP ships trucks out West

2022 F250 Platinum FX4, 7.3L, 4.30, Agate Black, spray Liner, moon roof, dual batt, up fitter, removed AS
Ordered July 16
Confirmed July 17
Removed AS 09/17
Window Sticker 09/30
In Production 10/25
Built 11/10
Shipped 11/11
Accepted delivery 11/26/2021.
The truck runs great and I’m so glad I deleted the adaptive steering. Don’t need it at all. Very easily maneuverable at low speed. The truck is a lot smoother than my 2015 f250 power stroke. Very happy with purchase and, since the truck was ready on “Black Friday,” dealer gave me another 3K off previously agreed price which was a bit over invoice. Waiting a few months saved me a lot of money.

I received my 4th build date for my truck. I assume I received this email because it was “good” news. I didn’t receive any on the pushed dates. Not that I have any faith it will be built during thIs build week but I can hope.

Some go right thru, others like mine have so many one week delays that you lose count. Mine is still waiting on shipping which caused another week delay. Sent to plant 11/1. This revolves around alot of unknown circumstances that we will never know.
Good luck to all.

mine is also being built the week of December 6th. I haven’t gotten an email yet to say it was delayed, so I’m hoping it stays as is. I ordered on 11/2.

The Ford tracker ETA for my truck was 11/2 to 11/7, estimated 18 days in transit. It didn't leave the railyard in Kentucky until 11/19. It has been in Georgia since 11/21. It still has to make it to New Orleans before it gets on a truck!
It will end up taking longer to ship it than it took from ordering to built!!!!!!!!!

Mine has shipped (I think) as I have a rail car number.

Not sure if it makes a difference to you but I received my rail car number on Nov 27 so I assume it has been shipped, but not indicated on the spread sheet as being shipped. The second thing I noticed is that it is coming by CSX and I am definitely not east of Kentucky but I am in Canada if that makes a difference.
