Why are there a number of trucks " in production" with no "sent to plant date"?"
I have to manually enter STP dates on the spreadsheet by reviewing window stickers as they become available.@bsmith993 mentioned, the STP date is not in the data feed, but really important for our tracking so I try to enter them every day or two.
Except last week much of which was spent in a mosh pit.

As I've been watching data progress on my side and especially noting times it becomes available, I just came to the conclusion that you must be manually reading window stickers and entering dates. And for THAT... an extra thanks. It sure would be nice if the data came in reliably from Ford. In your experience, is it a generally safe assumption that when it changes from "In Order Processing" to "In Production" that that is the STP date?
In my progressions, my next curious info is the great future telling of when it will get built. At the top of the sheet, it was running about 8 days from STP to Production Date. Then it jumped to 2 weeks. But from 11/1 to 11/9, nothing went STP. I would guess that was a makeup week and everything COULD be back on an ~8 day to build date schedule. One can hope anyway.
What do the "transit" numbers mean? Mine is #17 and current status is awaiting shipment
I've come to believe that is the number of days Ford is expecting the truck to be in transit from the ship date to the approximate ETA start.

My name is Brian, and I'm a data-holic.
Yes, each evening I go through those trucks which changed status to in production. Window stickers become available late afternoon or into evening and always have the STP date of the day they changed.
I believe the plant was shutdown 10/29 - 11/7 and again on 11/11-11/14 since virtually no trucks show built. There are a lot of trucks showing an 11/16 build date, so the 11/11-11/14 may not have been a shutdown, but a delay in reporting.
Trucks typically built 7 days after STP +/- 2 days, but when they shut down it pauses that.
I appreciate your input, and your graphic showing the timeline of the status flipping back and forth before sticking with the new status was very helpful.
This may have been covered in this thread and I apologize if it has. I noticed that my order date on the spreadsheet and through Ford is 11/4. I actually ordered my truck on 9/23 but changed it from a Lariat to a King Ranch on 11/4. The order number didn't change, I checked that, but the trim level did. Does Ford accept any change to an order as a new order date or maybe just trim levels? It really isn't a concern to me as I am scheduled and that is the big hurdle but it does skew the data for time from order to time of scheduling. I know a lot of people are making changes to try and get scheduled and if the date changes every time, it could make a big difference in the data.
At any rate, these threads and spreadsheets have been great and I really appreciate all of the work that has been put into them.

They likely had to place a new order. The order date does not typically change when adding/subtracted options.
I have not seen too many people change Trim levels, but my guess is a new order is submitted. Don't know if the Lariat will still get built, but dealers are trying to get any trucks they can, so they very well could be planning to have it built and put on their lot.
I think if you read the private offer small print it says take delivery or order by 1/2/22
Yes, but the fine print also says "prior purchases not eligible" and I ordered on 6/14/21. My dealer says that excludes me from the "place order by..." portion of the offer. I'm just holding out hope I can "take delivery" by 1/3/22! I'm locked in with this dealer since I've already sold them my 2018 F-250, and they've agreed to take X-plan. I'm just being greedy wanting the extra $3500...

good luck on the 3500. I just got another 2500 offer yesterday.

Eh contact the heads of Ford Marketing. They can educate the dealer. Contact info can be found in other threads on here.
Mine expired 9/30 but is being applied to my order from May which is being built (maybe) the week of 1/17. Some dealers just don't know how to do it.
Where did you get the 2500 offer yesterday? Can you share what you did to receive it?
it just came in the mail as an advertisement. I was just in for an oil change and used pass points. It says to take it to your dealer and they can look me up in vincent what ever that is. Also expires jan 3, good for order or stock.
