The Yaw sensor should have come in the truck, it wasn't back ordered, in its own package, with its own wiring harness and instructions.
The yaw sensor is mounted on the trailer, either on the gooseneck post that goes on the ball, or on the frame of the trailer where it connects to the 5th wheel. The point of the Yaw sensor is to measure rotation of the trailer relative to the truck, so it has to go on the part of the trailer that rotates. This is different than the way the sticker for the bumper pull trailers work, which has the camera track the sticker to measure trailer rotation.
If you ordered the full kit, with the trailer camera and the TPMS sensors, there will be a three way split harness in the box that came, most likely months after you received the truck, along with the TPMS reciever (which mounts on the trailer) and the camera (which mounts on the trailer). The harness is very long, my trailer is 30+ feet and I still have a lot of harness wrapped up and coiled at the front of the trailer, but mine is a boat trailer so the routing of the harness from the camera at the rear to the plug at the front is basically just one long continuous shot, doesn't have to snake through the interior of the trailer.
I'm glad that this tread has been helpful to many and it has also been helpful to me.
It is interesting that you got a 7/4-pin connector in the bed. Who would want a 4-pin in the bed? But that is probably just to fill up the double hole. It seams like it would have been simpler to just put a 7/12 in there and have one less variation for the assembly line. Did you get the Ultimate Trailer Camera System or the Pro Trailer Backup Assist package?
I ordered my truck with the fifth wheel prep pkg. and TPMS only. No ultimate tow pkg. I agree having a 4 pin in the bed seems silly. I don’t understand why Ford wouldn’t just put the 7/12 in the bed since I ordered the trailer TPMS with fifth wheel. I did some research to see if I could get a ford harness but they didn’t seem to be available and the price would be much higher. The Nichols harness works great. I showed a friend and he ordered a relocation kit for his 2018. Apparently the 2020s are the first year to even start to use the 7/12 in the bed but it seems you need to order the ultimate tow pkg. to get it.
I have ordered my 2020 Ford Platinum with the Camera/TPMS system and was notified that the plant was not making any trucks with this system now. Does anyone have any other information on why this is happening? I was told that if I deleted this, my new truck would be ready sometime late July.
There have been a lot of bed camera and some tailgate camera failures, those parts are on back order, might be related. Of the supplier of one of the components may have been hit hard with Covid 19, there will be lots of supply chain problems for months.

You can buy the Camera/TPMS through parts later. According to the order option that I posted above, a Platinum comes standard with everything you need in the truck other than the 5th wheel prep unless it is a 450 which includes the 5th wheel prep standard.
That drawing is ridiculous. Yes, the YAW sensor mounts on the trailer. On a 5th wheel it goes on side of the pin box. There should be another instruction sheet in the plastic bag with the YAW sensor and its harness. I think that what the drawing is showing is the bed mounted 7/12-pin connector being used for the YAW sensor and the camera/TPMS connected to the bumper 7/12-pin. That was probably before they had the 3-way harness so you could connect everything at the same time.
What all you you going to connect?
I’m going to connect the YAW sensor TPM and camera. I have a 48foot Sundowner Toy Hauler Gooseneck and the harness seems to short!!
I have 6 wheels and a spare so I ordered 3 more TPM sensors. Does anyone have YAW sensor instructions?
thanks so much for the Help!!

Note that if you ordered the kit with a 2020 SD, you should have received 6 TPMS sensors, so you might want to contact your dealer if you only got 4.
The camera harness supplied with the kit is 48', so you will probably need at least a 10' extension harness. You can order extension cables in any length from Nichols https://nicholsmanufacturingandweldi...mera-extension.
I have uploaded the YAW sensor instructions.
Did you get the 3-way 12-pin harness that connects to the 7/12-pin connector in the truck bed on one end and connects to the YAW sensor, TPMS module and camera harness on the other end? If you have the old style Y-harness and a separate YAW sensor cable, you may want to either combine the two cables yourself as described by others in this thread or send the two harnesses to Nichols and have him do it for $180.
If you have the 7 pin/12 pin socket installed both in the bed of the truck and in the bumper, it may be possible to plug the yaw sensor in the bed and the camera and TPMS sensor harness in the bumper. In one of the threads it was mentioned that this might be possible as long as you don’t try and plug two of the same things in at the same time, for instance two cameras. That way you don’t need the three way harness.

Yes, this would work. However, I sure wouldn't want to have to deal with 2 connections, one of them would get snagged on something for sure with my luck
What did you need to change with the FORSCAN to get your truck to recognize the trailer TPMS. I am using a fifth that was previously used with my 2017 F350 but nowmy 2020 F350 does not even list the trailer TPMS learning.

Does anyone have the part number available for the trailer camera kit for trucks with the 5th wheel prep? I just rang my dealer where i got the truck from and he gave me the part number LC3Z-1A189-D. He said there is no availability of it with backorders past due and no ETA provided. I googled the part number and only get a couple of hits. The first hit shows it as the 17-19 kit.

If you need it soon, you might also try Nichols, they have some parts and harnesses.
