Hey ksroskel, I'd be interested in a trade but I'm looking for the cable that has the yaw, camera, and TMPS connectors, so three total. I have a camera and TMPS cable and a yaw only cable.

Paul100,
Yes my new cable has all three connectors. Camera, TPMS and Yaw. And I am looking for a cable that only has the camera and TMPS connectors for a bumper pull trailer.
I find it interesting that the new cable has plugs that seal the camera and TPMS connector if not used but not for the Yaw.
Where are you located? I am in Boise Idaho.

Hi ksroskel, I think I sent you a private message so as to not tie up this thread, let me know if you don't get it.

Does anyone know of the 2020 part number for the bed plugs setup?
I checked TAsca and they still don't have 2020 listed for HD.

2020 F350 Limited DRW Tow but no go...

i ordered my truck back in 11/2019. 2020 F350 Limited with the Ultimate Trailer Package and Pro Assist but no 5th wheel prep. I didn’t notice anything regarding a yaw sensor or harness etc. I did just install the Ford OEM 5th wheel/goose neck package ordered from Ford. Came with a single plug harness but I ordered a double plug harness that fits in the inner bedside under the bed light.
Picked up our 44’ Keystone Raptor 415 RV today and wondered why I couldn’t get the camera to work on the back or the Pro Assist to work. After reading I found that the Fuzion camera on the trailer doesn’t connect to the Sync3 system and a Ford proprietary camera is required (which wasn’t delivered with the truck). I also read that Pro Assist Backup works by using the yaw sensors (which wasn’t delivered with the truck). And finally it appears that the truck can be programmed for the trailer TPMS (wasn’t delivered with the truck).

i guess my question is, based off of this info can anyone clarify that:
A) a 5th wheel longer than 33’ can work with these features I’ve mentioned.
B) because the truck came with Ultimate Package and Pro Backup Assist but no 5th wheel prep that the Ford trailer camera, Yaw sensor, and TPMS were suppose to be included or no?

Before I contact my dealer I want to make sure I have my ducks in a row and show up with ammunition for these items.

Thank you in advance.

Here is what I got. However, this is the 2017-19 kit and it does not have a connection for the new 2020 backup/yaw sensor that is used for 5th wheel and gooseneck trailers. This kit only contains 4 trailer TPMS sensors, the 2020 kit should contain 6. If you have a 2020 and wish to use the backup/yaw sensor with a 5th wheel or gooseneck trailer then you will need the new kit which is still on backorder.

If you have a 2017-19 or only plan to tow a bumper tow trailer, this kit should be good for you.

If you have a 2020 SD and ordered the 5th wheel prep, you should have a 7/12 pin connector installed in the rear of the truck bed on the drivers side. The cable plugs in there. If you didn't order the 5th wheel prep, then my understanding is that there will be a cable harness under the truck near the spare tire. This kit comes with a new 7/12 pin connector that you can use to replace the 7/4 pin connector below the bumper and attach to the harness by the spare tire.

I hope this helps. If anyone wants to see it, I can scan and post the directions that came with this kit.

The camera kit is a separately ordered item to use with the listed Ultimate trailer assist package.

I ordered the camera only package (no TPMS) and parts availability actually delayed my truck a month or so.
The camera package came in to the Ford parts department about a week after the truck.

And the camera and backup assist works on my 41' 101' wide 5th wheel.

im seeing some people got the harnesses, some got TPMS, some got yaw control and camera with the Ultimate Package and some didn't. My truck literally came with nothing. Just a **** on the dash for the Pro Backup Assist.
When I was connecting the 5th wheel yesterday before I realized I’m missing all the parts, I tried to setup the trailer and when I selected “5th wheel” it tells me it’s not compatible with 5th Wheel/goose neck. Then when I selected trailer it tells me it won’t work with anything over 33’.

so...I’m trying to figure out exactly what was suppose to be included with the Ultimate Package and Pro Backup Assist.

33' is the blind spot limit and I think the longest physical distance that can be entered when setting up a bumper hitch trailer. Mine is longer and it works.
If the backup assist is in the truck you still need the accessory kit - camera, TPMS or camera /TPMS

I opted for the camera only add on kit

If you also have 5th wheel prep the truck side trailer camera, yaw sensor and TPMS parts are already installed in the truck.

My kit included:
Camera and camera harness, just long enough to make the front compartment on my 41' 5th wheel.)
Yaw sensor for 5th wheel
Sub harness that the trailer camera, TPMS and yaw sensor connect to, which is then your second umbilical that connects to the truck at the 12 pin.

And all of the above is 2020 specific - my truck.

thank you.

My truck is a Limited so it has everything. I opted to NOT order it with the 5th wheel prep package but it did come with BSM, front/side/upper brake light, tailgate cameras as well as Pro Backup Assist and Ultimate Pkg. I recently added the OEM 5th wheel prep package that I had to buy an OEM dual port harness for that mounts inside the bed. One port is where I connect the 5th wheel trailer and from what I red, the other port is where the yaw controller connect because it has the red seal/o-ring inside.

I just want to know if the dealership owes me anything. Because when I look online, on Fords website, it states “customer placed camera included”. I’ll attach a link and show a picture. Just wanting to know what else I’m missing.

I have a 2020 Limited and it still doesn't come with everything, does not include the trailer camera, you have to order that separately.
Although a 450 does automatically come with the 5th wheel prep and the in bed 7 pin and 12 pin connectors.

The secondary 12 pin connector accepts the trailer harness with any of the one to three options on the trailer you place, TPMS, the 5th wheel yaw sensor and the camera.

Your linked graphic states "customer placed camera - available........"

I hope I'm not beating a dead horse here, but I want to make sure I get this right.
I have a 2020 F-450 Platinum with the "Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera Sys w/Pro Trailer Backup Assist". I want to make sure I get the kit that includes the harness for camera, TPMS, and yaw/trailer position sensor.

Can someone tell me if the part number LC3Z-1A189-D is correct? Thanks much in advance!

i just picked mine up. All the superdutys with Pro Backup assist come with the Yaw control harness.

I’ll add a photo of the harness you need for 2020 and above.

I also have the same problem. I have a 2020 F350 and also has the OEM puck system installed in my truck. Ford is worthless on this. Ford hides behind the dealers and make themselves unreachable. My dealer has had no luck from Ford and it is one of the biggest dealers in the US. They have basically given up on the problem.

LA County of Consumer Affairs have reached out to Ford on my behalf and they have not responded. They are reaching out again and after speaking to them, they are in talks about making this a state wide or National Issue. In all honesty, it's fraud on Ford's role in this. We have paid for the Pro Trailer Assist and the parts we need to make it work work are non existent (at least in availability). In essence we paid for and were sold a vehicle that does not have a working option we paid for. Ford knows it, that is fraud on Ford's part.

They refuse to make themselves for comment of any resolution on this part. There is a memo that outlines this issue, but no resolution. I have attached the document.

The super duty’s with pro backup come with everything you need. Look in the owner manual. There is a book with the proper stickers. You get 7/4 plug on the bumper. You only get the extra stuff if you ordered the 5 wheel prep. It comes with the bed plug 7/12. The camera system is another extra.
