Thanks. Just so I’m on the right path, two issues that would cause a no start are a faulty IPR or faulty ICP, or I guess faulty pcm, but the click I hear when turn key suggests it not pcm. I tried starting with icp unplugged and still did not fire. So good code reader should show what?
There are a lot of things that would cause a no start condition and yes IPR and ICP are two of those. If you are getting a WTS light, then chances are the PCM is good.
A decent scan tool and Forscan is all you need to read the parameters the PCM is looking for. The PCM will not start unless certain parameters are met, that and fuel pressure which is not available via the PCM.
A scan tool will have bread crumbs showing you what is not right, then you use process of elimination to determine the out of specification parameter and cause.

ok thanks. The scanner mentioned above looks like most popular but any decent scanner will work? Bluetooth or otherwise. Getting scanner above going to take me a few days and if can get one from ca tire can do today.
@Mod7.3 On closer inspection of your pictures, it appears the hose that connects to the MAP sensor has come off. That end poking into side of the box for the AC evaporator coil is supposed to connect to the MAP sensor.
Mine comes from a different direction because I have an overboost eliminator (that pressure regulator sitting on to of the MAP sensor) to prevent higher than stock boost triggering PCM defuelng.
Can someone explain what this is and does?
someone explain what this
that is your boost reference line for the map sensor, it should be connected to the nipple on the sensor from the intake spyder, appears to be unhooked not sure if that affects starting or not, i doubt it since there is essentially no boost or vaccum
Here is my truck with a failed GPR, sitting overnight 28* temp, See the white smoke before she fired? Thats what you should be seeing if your issue is glowplugs. I could have kept rolling her over and she would have started probably a few more 10 second cranks. I hate to do that to the starter and batts if i dont have to
the second try is with glow plugs working again a minute later.
If your not getting white smoke like that, your not getting fuel and glow plugs arent your problem.
Spend the money on a bluetooth/wifi adapter and use forscan, torque pro etc and get your basic pids read
here is an example from forscan lite app. i was trying to diagnose a no start after putting cab back on with help from guys on here. Turned out my ipr spacer was put on before the solenoid instead of after causing the pids you see.

yes plan on getting the linkx Bluetooth scanner but none at local stores here so drags things out. Patience patience. Patience.
no glow plug issue. I replaced those too. No white white smoke
and waiting for it to arrive. Figured better plan than replacing a bunch of stuff without knowing. I will put in new main wiring harness today. I already tried starting it with icp plug pulled so I’m thinking maybe IPR but assuming data from scanner would reveal that?
Yup, the scanner should give you that info. That's wise of you to wait for it before going any further. I just feel frustrated for you that it's taking so long for you to receive it.

no kidding but it is what it is. I have been looking for a obd to USB cable in the while but have not found one in the stores, also had to be ordered
donr have it yet. Early next week. But will replace harness today and maybe pull IPR to make sure seals are all ok. But before Maybe will give it a few more cranks just to see. But with new battery’s I gave it 4 times of about 15 seconds each and no signs to f catching
