One thing to remember on the TSD card, I don't know if Love's truck stops are listed, but they are across the board $.16. For me personally, it does not make sense to use it all the time, but it is nice to have when I go somewhere that has a TA or other such stop so I can get the fuel a little bit cheaper.
I am thankful to live in a country where we have choices... Choices to use a fuel stop/card or not... Choices to be grateful for savings and convenience... Choices to to ignore the miniscule savings and convenience... Choices to be grateful for not trying to pull a 5th wheel trailer in to the car lanes.
Choices to use, or not use a service that is free.
Choices to be thankful for .05 or more in savings.
Choices to "live and let live". I get it that not everyone is a fan of the TSD or similar cards, but they can simply not sign up or they an cut their card up. Just like tapioca pudding is not for everyone, saving on diesel fuel or having the convenience of using commercial lanes is not for everyone.
Some people look for an excuse to be upset or angry, I used to be like that too, so I get it.

As it stands right now, Race Trac, HEB, and QT beat the best saving offered at TA by 3 cents. It isn't even worth it for me to hunt one down at this point. It's all good. I'll keep the card for OTR travel when truck stops are my chosen source.
I wish I would have read this thread a couple days ago before I went to the Love's nearby to fill up with my TSD card. I *thought* I could save a little by filling up there. When I got there, it was 45-50 cents higher than nearby stations, but I figured I'd get a savings from the card. Ugh .. I didn't know it was only 16 cents/gallon discount.
So, a $13 lesson for me this time. Could have been worse I guess.
I will definitely check this thread before getting fuel next time. I'm hoping people will post up their discounts so I won't get fooled again.
You can use the TSD app to find the best discounts near you. I have the app loaded on my Android head unit and use it to find fuel when traveling and I need to fill up. I use live Google Maps for navigation in tandem with the TSD app.

I'll keep using GasBuddy for sure.
I just left Broken Bow OK where Beavers Bend state park is. Diesel was $3.05 to 3.15. On the way home we stopped in Loves in Valiant about 40 miles away. $2.95 was the first price - .16. No complaint from me!
I use Loves on our numerous Colorado trips because most are easy to get in, and most are clean. They also have fried chicken, pizza or other fast food. I will pay a little more for the convenience of getting everything I need in one place. On a busy road it's next to impossible to get a 30-35 trailer in a regular gas station.
In CO there is a TA at Walsenburg. We have always stopped there. The discount is good but the store is small and nasty. Last fall they had started a new Loves a few miles away and we will be stopping there from now on. Saving a few bucks isn't everything..

Drive safe out there everyone!
LOL wife just offered me some and it's not for me. Great timing.

For right now, it looks like the best combination for me is to scope out nearby prices first with the TSD card & then compare with what's on GasBuddy.
This works really well traveling, plan ahead for the lowest price. Let my tanks get low as I had cheaper fuel ahead, 94.6 gallons $313.61 discount $57.52 at a T/A.

Doubt this will ever happen, the TSD fuel program is a spin off of the commercial fuel, long haul trucks. They have allowed the RV's in and many use diesel and they make a little for just issuing the card, I carried this exact card, EFS, as a commercial driver.
I was just about out of my 75 gallons of fuel capacity after several local lake camping trips and one 600 mile round trip to the beach with the 5th wheel.
I opted to go to the TA 35 miles from home instead of the Love's 20 miles from home.
A quick spreadsheet of my last trip. Numbers in blue are averages. The second to last purchase included DEF which didn't get discounted, so it threw off the discount numbers a bit. I was not impressed with the price of DEF at the pump. Even with that, an 11% discount is good considering the added benefit of using the big rig lanes.
