You you can use it there like any other location you just won't give the discount
Good to know. I don't ever see myself getting to a point where I would have to stop for fuel at a "non-discounnted" rate, but you never know.

I believe that Good Sam caught wind of what is happening and had their legal team get in touch with P/FJ and forced them to withdraw from the TSD program. Prior to the TSD program becoming so popular, I think that Good Sam was not worried about the small kid on the block.
They seem to think that people might go by Love's, TA or Petro that give great discounts in order to stop at P/FJ for .08 off at the pump. Horrible business decision, but it is the same to Good Sam either way.
Good Sam is a joke of a company anyway and their ability and desire to take advantage of the uninformed customer is strong.

I agree they ARE a joke. I am insurance shopping right now for our trailer and truck. They are killing me on rates.
A friend of mine just used his EFS card at a Maverik station and filled up. There was no discount applied and he paid the advertised pump price. But, this verifies/confirms the ability to use the EFS card for fueling up at non-discount locations.
This is all new to me, so I was pretty sure using the EFS card at non-discount locations would be authorized, but I like to verify things when/if I can.
Another friend of mine paid $1.81 for diesel the other day...

Did your friend pay the cash or credit price?

My buddy just told me he is pretty sure he paid the credit price because the price at the pump did not change or update.
I am OK with this though as it gives me another option for fueling up with the 5th wheel in tow. I NEVER stop at the regular diesel lanes next to the gasoline lanes with the 5th wheel in tow. Now with the EFS card, I have the ability to stop at any diesel commercial lane for fuel without going in to the cashier to have the pump authorized. Of course I will do my best to stop at the discount fuel stations and with 75 gallons of fuel on board I don't see this being a problem.
It is just nice to know that the EFS card works at any commercial diesel fuel pump regardless of what name is on the pump.
I agree that it's nice to know it works at the big rig lanes, even without the discount. But I've paid the credit price by mistake once. That was costly.
Ok so I applied for the TSD card a couple of weeks ago and went to download the app but I’m not sure which one to download. The only one I saw had only a few reviews and I was expecting hundreds...

You won't see the discount on the pump screen, it will show in the app. When you view the app it shows gallons / unit price (discount price) / sub total (what you paid) / and amount saved. Add amount saved & sub total = pump price when finished fueling.
In app setting you can set discounts only or all truck stops, in discount only list view it will show discount price @ each: in all the shows list the discount @ each or 0 discount for those that do not discount.
80 gallon transfer tank + truck tank I fuel where I want not when I need to, with them both full I figure 1000 miles towing my 14K 5W.

That is correct and I knew that from the times I have used the EFS card at discount participating stations.
Although, the question came up if my friend paid the cash or credit price at the pump when he used the EFS card at a Maverik station. He said the price at the pump did not change to the cash price as they do and stayed at the credit price. So, it is not that he didn't notice the discount on fuel after fueling and checking the app, it is that there was no discount on fuel at Maverik and he paid the credit price and not the cash price.
Like you, my range is 1,000 miles towing a 12,000 lbs 5th wheel. I fill where and when I want, not where or when I have to. But, it is nice to know the EFS card works at most/all stations and not only the ones who offer a discount.
