I got my Android download invite yesterday afternoon and downloaded it from Google Play to my android tablet and android phone.
Works well so far.
I down loaded the new app and found the old one better in my opinion. The new app shows truck stops in a 150 mile radius, I prefer the routing on the old app to see whats ahead, I care less about anything not in that direction. I see nothing in the new app that's not in the old. It is prettier, I'll keep both for a bit and may change my mind.

I understand your concerns and feel they are validated by your words and use of the app. Frankly, I don't use the map at all to find fuel stations. I stop for fuel when and where it is convenient for my family since I carry up to 75 gallons between the OEM and auxiliary tanks.
The only thing I use the EFS or TSD app for is to verify and track purchases/transactions. Hopefully the EFS app will continue to be available to you since the card is through EFS.

Like you I have an 80 gallon auxiliary tank plus the OEM tank, a little over 100 gallons or 1000 miles towing. I travel a lot when not locked down and many times can avoid buying any fuel in high dollar states like WA & CA by using the app to see what prices are ahead of me. I'm sure you went with the aux tank for the same reason I did, I fuel when I want, not when I have to. I was likely one of the first users and save hundreds over the year. I was going to total at the end of the year and it's been a quit year with the covid crap.

I agree, still having issues with location not working, that disables the map and without it, app is useless. It knows where I am because it shows the closest T/A on start up. EFS has no problem with location. I sent them an email but no response yet.

Yes sir... We learned on our first trip out with the first trailer we had that a 30 gallon OEM tank was not going to cut it. We have 1000 mile range with our current 5th wheel as well and thoroughly enjoy filling up the OEM tank doing 65 MPH down the interstate.
Filling up when we want to instead of when we have to is very freeing and stress free.
I look forward to seeing your end of year totals.

At least you still have the EFS app to fall back on or use exclusively if you like. I don't know the nature or specifics of the complaints about EFS that led to the integration of the Open Roads app, but I have no issues with using the EFS app.
I plan to keep both apps on my mobile device and use both of them or either one of them to recall the data I am looking for.
I found this thread by just looking to kill time the other day. Later on, on that day, I came across a vide that said Pilot and Flying J wont accept the TSD card no more. They allow you to use it at the pump like normal, but the discount is not applied. The video I watched said when he noticed this, he called TSD and they confirmed his findings. I was about to get one just to get discounted fuel since I dont really have a need to use the truck lane. If I am not mistaken about TA, they still give you the discount along with Loves. Here's the link to the video I am referring to:

All true. Flying J has their own program through Good Sam Club. However, the discount there is weak. At least it has been in the past. It's a fixed amount, so at least it's predictable. With TSD the discount varies, so sometimes it's merely good and other times it's great.
I was saving something like $0.05 per gallon of diesel fuel at Flying J/Pilot and used that for several years. When the TSD fuel program became available to consumers like myself and most of us here, I signed up. I have saved more in less than 1 year of using the TSD fuel card than I did the entire time using the Flying J/Pilot card. A lot more even... On 10/13 I saved $0.25 per gallon on diesel fuel in the truck lanes.
No skin off my back to go across the overpass to a Love's, TA, Petro or whatever in order to save 5x or more on fuel versus going to Pilot/Flying J. If I am stuck and need to use a Pilot/Flying J because the 75 gallons of fuel I have on board was almost gone, then I will pay pump prices and roll on down the road knowing that 1st world problems are great problems to have.
Some people don't want to use the TSD fuel card because it does not apply everywhere. I say they should stick to their guns and do what is right for them, their budget, their application and what makes them sleep well at night. Me saving $20 - $30 per fill up makes me sleep better at night versus saving $4...
Someone posted a while back that they get a free cup of hot coffee with their Pilot/Flying J card and they were going to keep using that. I hope that coffee is good because they are paying $10 on average for that coffee. Whatever makes them happy though, they should continue to do. Live and let live...
