There must be quite a few fleet outfits waiting on the fence to hear numbers for the new gas big block, before deciding which of the big three gets their contracts..
I can almost guarantee that fleets are not waiting on any fence to hear horsepower or torque numbers for the new gas block.
The numbers fleets might be waiting for are pricing, and date of delivery.

The numbers fleets would like, in an ideal world, to know is fuel economy, but fleets know that Ford doesn't have to publish those numbers over over 8,500 GVW.R
The hp and torque numbers have been out on the 7.3l, the diesel ratings are tbd.
Yes, I’m aware that hp & torque for the 7.3 are known, but not towing & payload. None of those numbers are known yet about the diesel. Your point about pricing and delivery date being more important to fleet procurers is well taken. If a fire department’s old ambulances were running V-10 gas engines before, they’re likely to just order the 7.3 gas to replace them. Surely, William Clay Ford could care less about one individual potential customer who’s trying to decide between gas or diesel, Lariat or K.R., and wheel size, while wondering if his almost 16 year old truck will make it past Christmas. If not, he’ll just have to buy a 2020 Government Motors already on a lot.
Something’s happening @ Ford.com. Think they’re finally updating the site to include the 2020 SDs in their build and price. Tried clicking on it under future vehicles & got an error message page, “sometimes things just don’t go as planned”. Marketing Dept’s Amy confirmed they are updating it today. Hopefully, the new towing and payload capabilities for both redesigned PS diesel and new 7.3L gas big block will be revealed.
Thanks for the responses. Anyone know if you are able to delete the sunroof now on a platinum but still get adaptive cruise and all that. Or if Ford finally improved the design for 2020?
