2020 revealed!
The dealer? If the 2020 ends up having some transmission issues or something I could trade it in without much loss. I have a friend that upgrades every year and doesn't pay much to do so.
Either way, I'm not too worried. I would only drive it 3k miles a year so even if issues become known, it will likely be a long time before they catch me.

Couldn't that overall height increase simply be due to the roomier 2017+ cab? My very scientific older-guy-too-much-karate-knees-0-meter tells me that my 2004 is about as high as my 2018 to climb into. Both are leveled and run 35s. Both are 350s so would sit a little higher than the 250s you're citing.
Oddly the 2017 f250 is shown as slightly taller than the f350. Opposite is true for the 2016.
Increased height @ MY17 was as I recall due to the new taller boxed frame.
If it turns out poorly... who else would want it?
Only those who bought it at the right price to offset the risk of down time under warranty, or the cost of denied repairs.
If they bought it right, how would you not lose money?
I've seen seven month old trucks sell for less than 50% of what they sold for new less than a year earlier, depending on the reliability performance, and/or market conditions.
Payment buyers are generally not fully informed about how much they are really paying for the privilege of driving the latest gadget on wheels every other year, but there is no way NOT to lose money once the purchase contract is signed.
Vehicles are an expense, not an investment. The most successful dealers are the ones who manage to orchestrate circumstances that encourage their customers to become convinced that they are one of the very few who got themselves a special deal due to their diligent research, savvy, PCO, X Plan, having a desireable trade in, or combination thereof. But dealers would not be in business if they actually gave the glowing deals people gloat about. Perception is 9/10ths reality.
Those who accept that a truck purchase is an expense to be eaten in order to gain the benefit of using the darn thing, not storing it in an attempt to broker some future deal on the next model with more gadgets, will lose less money in the long run.

I always think resale when I buy, and I never keep a vehicle more than four years..
I don’t look at anything other than cost of ownership within the window of when I bought it until I sold it. Truth be told, I’m in business and my focus is to make money. I buy trucks because I like them..
Green Bay Wi Its been a few weeks since I have checked . But they only had 10 -12 new super duties. Most of them were XLs . That's 250,350 and 450 . They have well over 100 F150s. Only 3 rangers.
Well, this was 180 degrees from my thinking.

Me too, 5 years is my tops in ownership. I kinda appreciate a good resale value at trade in time.
No one has said what’s “new” yet. But from screenshots I’ve seen, it’s a total different background and from what I can see, you can put any music in a preset. Doesn’t have to just be all Sirius or all FM. Can be a mix.
I haven’t touched a new explorer, so I’m not positive. The videos show a updated sync system. Ive seen some pictures that show sync 3 in 2020, and I’ve also seen some videos from car shows that show the new one in it.
RenoHuskerDU,
Use a hard-wired desktop pc and a jump drive to download the update from Ford. Then fire up the system to the Sync page. Stick the jump drive in one of the USB ports in the console, and hit updates on screen. Worked for me, after many failures with great wifi signals near truck. Good luck. Changed up my V 2.0 quite a bit, getting texts thru the radio and such. If I can get this done, most anyone should be able to also.
