Jim, The resolution is pretty meaningless but I wouldn't of expected much more. I'm thankful we got at least that. If I were a betting man, county council crafted most of it with commission input. Casey need to learn to not make statments or promises he can't keep. He's still green that's for sure. It was also a pretty quick turn around as well. I'll have to get online and look at the paper.

The resolution was pretty much what I was looking or hoping for at the county level. Like I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, I was disappointed they went ahead with the original without reworking it from petition ordinance style to a resolution or 'statement' style. We needed a statement to Salem saying that Oregon is comprised of more than just the Portland Tri County are with a couple of others thrown in.

I suspect that Tim and the Oregon Sheriff's Association (and perhaps Mary via her brother) had a lot of input and influence on the resolution we have now.
The demon-crat legislators in Salem are pretty much acting like spoiled children having a temper tantrum. The skull doggery, chicanery and dirty underhandedness that is going on in Salem with our legislature is beyond anything I've ever seen. If the Supreme Court says "you can't do this", it's like they stick their lower lips and chins out, beat their fist on the desk top, stomp their feet and take display open defiance.

I have enough points on my card now that I can get away with ordering the M1A Match Grade rifle. We have a lot going on right now so didn't want to muddy the waters. If Pink Floyd tries to amend the current bills with an Rifle ban or magazine ban, I'll go ahead and order it right away. Cabela's has a 10% points special going on through April 21st...

Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Getting ready to go out to the farm and keep an eye on mother.

To be honest, I don't particularly have a favorite brand or company.

 

I went with the shapeshifter core pack. Comes with four different ways to carry. I have no idea what I wanted and this was a way to get everything and figure out what I liked. $100 shipped. My usual carry is in a backpack or briefcase type. I will say the quality is outstanding and once you get over the amount of parts and figure out how it all works it's a sweet set up. I don't have anything to compare it to however.

 

I carried at the 4 o’clock position for a few years with the Cross Breed Supertuck, then decided to try appendix carry and I like it a lot more. More comfortable and easier to conceal for me. I know people worry about shooting their junk off, but I’m very particular about only putting it on and taking it off with the pistol in the holster so the trigger guard is covered. I’m very diligent about finger off the trigger when drawing, and to re-holster I remove the holster, put gun in, then put it back on.
