Good morning. Waiting to see if the water has gone down enough to drive back to our maintenance shop at the golf course. We’ve had to walk to it from the main parking lot because the service road is under water.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 44.9, overcast and wet, but no rain for now. Maybe we can finish the camper swap unload in dryer conditions today.
You need a small boat there Evan! Lot's of frog water for a small row boat.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. No more than got started on Operation Camper Cleanout and the rains started. Put out the over door canopy and set up a 1X10 dining canopy to keep us a little on the dry side. I cannot believe how much stuff the warrden has crammed in there. I did find some tools I've been wondering about all winter.
I've heard about Sundance Meadows, but don't know a lot about it. Is that like a Thousand Trails or is it more like a Time Share. My sister is in one of those and has a hard time getting reservations....
There is another one over there someplace that my sister and BIL go to, but it seems like a PIA as they have to make reservation 8 to 10 months in advance. I don't know how much they paid for that, but it was a bunch.
and we wonder why our campers are so heavy. Haha.
I guess it's like a time share but not affiliated with any other places. The previous folks never had issues reseving a spot. It's not fancy so not a huge demand. They say there are 500 deeds out there is all. It's not costing us anything other than the transfer fee and $50 a month. It gives us a place to go in the summer when we don't do much camping anyway and it's in a place that we like. We can leave the trailer in the storage lot so we don't have to haul it back a forth and we could leave the boat there as well. Wife thinks she might stay over there longer too. It sounds good anyway. of course it sounds great when you a have all kinds of vacation time. If I change jobs that goes out the door of course.
The Warden wasn't sounding very happy at the moment, but I told her that not even half of that stuff is going back in. Further more the shower is not going to be crammed full of stuff so we can't use it when we are in a full hook up spot....Now that we just finished getting the camper cleaned out she is beginning to see the light!
She was asking if we couldn't put the small cabinet back in the shower, where were we going to put the big bath & beach towels. I responded with something like, "If the shower is crammed full and we can't use it, what do we need the big towels for anyway?"
I might be spending another night sleeping in the pickup again.....
