Well it’s looking like next week before the t4 kit will be in I’m definitely getting impatient. But I still have lots of small things to get buttoned up before installing the engine. Still half to pickup a new e350 powersteering pump as well as some fittings and powersteering hoses and a resivour.
Im definitely trying to lol.
But on side note I’m trying to decide on which route I wanna go on my powersteering lines. Im swapping to the e350 powersteering pump. Along with I’m replacing my current hydrobooster as it is leaking powersteering fluid pretty bad. My original plan was to just use oem 6.0 powersteering lines being the powersteering pump is the same. But I saw pictures on another forum where they bought hydraulic flared adapters to go in hydrobooster pump and gear box and had lines made. That looked a lot cleaner in my opinion but they didn’t say where they acquired the adapter fittings.
Well I mocked the e350 powersteering bracket on engine and was looking at the difference between the e350 and a 6.0 powersteering pump I have. There basically the same other than pulley and the inlet to the remote mounted resivour. Is angled better my a truck. So looks like I’m gonna use the 6.0 pump I plan on ordering a new pump. Also the 6.0 powersteering lines appear like they will work as long as I use the sd hydrobooster line extensions. And being that I’m swapping in a 05-07 steering box should pretty much be bolt on. Which will make future replacements easier if and when necessary.
Thanks and yeah I figured why not on the valve cover studs. Mainly need to just come up with the funds for few parts for my powersteering and to get intercooler boots and under valve cover harness. Hopefully I can install some time towards the end of June. If all goes well anyway we will see though.
I’m swapping to the 05-07 steering box to match my 05 up axles. As far as bolt on only thing that has to be modified is enlarge the bolt holes In the frame for the steering box.
