Super cool idea on the lighting! Going on the list for sure!
Did you notice any difference with the liner on the roof? I still have to do the doors and pillars this summer on mine and I'll pull the rear plastic and do the sides as well. I only did the floor when I had mine torn down last summer.
The stuff I bought for the roof is not very thick, say 5mm, but I did notice wind noise, and general noise reduction, and I think there "is" some thermal improvement. When these A/C systems are working as intended they really overpower the external heat load anyway. The previous owner had done the inside of the outer door skins, and the inner door skin just behind the door trim panel with the same stuff. Not thrilled about the inner skin coverage if there is ever a need to replace a door lock motor or something as this stuff does not come off once installed.
Banged these out a few years ago before the garage was built, and the leather redone. After the reflective material was cut, blue bias was sewn around the perimeter. Going forward I still use them when I leave the truck at the boat launch in the summer and man they make a huge difference, did all 6 side windows.
I'm really diggin' the custom shades. Texas summers are BRUTAL. I need to get on that before it starts really heating up. How do you keep them held in place?
Props on the the dome light. I took my overhead console apart and swapped in a VLEDS 26-LED 194 bulb in each location and repaired the passenger switch. It's better than stock, but they still leave me wanting more. I wish the color was closer to 4000K too. Perhaps one of these days I can get my hands on a second console and fabricate something special. My thing is, particularly for the interior, I want things custom and, so much as I can help it, I want it to look factory to the unassuming eye. The rectangular panels would irk me over time.
I will say it was a real bear rough cutting a piece of that stuff and holding it up against the windows and tracing on it with a sharpie marker, my rear quarter windows need to be redone as they are a little shy of being the snug fit I wanted. But this time I have a very close template.
One more piece of the maintenance puzzle purchased today from an Alliant dealer in Charlotte. Brand new Alliant stock AE/AD injectors w/2 year warranty. I finally gave up on choosing a modified nozzle Etc. I thought about it and felt my X with the Hydra and PHP tunes really performs well. The last decision would be the turbo, possibly a KC.
Decided to add a few more new and NOS parts to the X.
New cowl trims with washer nozzles, hoses and gaskets. found a NOS wiper motor and armature assy too, Ford discontinued the complete assembly, and only offers each separate at a much higher price. My armature assy was minus a bushing on the drivers side bottom and was very sloppy. A new long gasket that press fits on both cowl halves that contacts the hood was added too.
You're pretty good at making a guy feel like a loafer. I'm over here trying to talk myself into installing my A pillar handle and you've got valve springs and stuff.
Nevertheless, as always I love your attention to detail.

Just wait, I'm sure I'll screw something up, and drop a valve or loose a spring keeper, or there will be a swollen glow plug. There will be alot of work done in a short time.
