Thanks.
It's definitely received a lot of love. I bought it as nothing more than a tow what ever I want beater vehicle. As I became pretty attached to it, it's become my "trophy truck" if you will. Seems to be the case with everything I own. There's more fun in customizing versus usage.
I ordered a new grill from Ford on Friday, the 05-07 pre-cut all chrome grill currently on the vehicle from the previous owner was new, but has suffered numerous abrasions to the chrome face with my long distance trips. I settled on the F-250 truck grey and chrome one. Beyond that I have one rocker to replace, still deciding what to do about injectors/turbo, and I think I'll have all the seat belts re-done in blue webbing. I'm still making a list of wear and tear items under the hood, fuel pressure regulator, ICP sensor, high pressure fittings, the intercooler boots ect. The power steering pump is looking wet too.

Next to the rear air deflector, the number one rarest option would be the rear door pockets, I'd give my right eye for those. I've heard they are pretty cheap, and somewhat weak structurally, but since it replaces the rear door panel completely, it could be reinforced and made better. I was actually looking at the older Land Rover Discovery rear door pockets, but scraped the idea.
Exhibit "A"..

Quick trip to the dentist today. Purchased a new grill this week for the truck. I've been wanting to replace the existing one, it was new from the previous owner. An 05-07 style from Ebay, that was laser cut across the bottom to fit the original 99-04 headlight support and bumper, lots of stone chips to the chrome from my highway driving.
Since I had recently replaced the front bumper with the Ford OE correct year belonging to my truck, and knowing I was going to upgrade the headlights, I opted to replace the headlight support to the 05-07 instead of cutting my 99-04 support. The grill I chose is a 99-04 Superduty P/U style. Part# 1C3Z-8200-BAA complete with fade free emblem. I simply modified the grill to fit around the center structure of the support. A bracket and plastic screw retainer was added bottom center, and the steel clips were removed.

Mentioned here, https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ear-happy.html , I thought I'm all over this. So, 1 skid plate installed.

Looks like I may have to return the skid plate or stick it in the for sale section. I won't receive it until tomorrow but now that I went underneath the Ex I see that the plate I do have extends back to the area where the other type that goes from frame rail to frame rail would cross. I guess I could always remove my existing one and replace with the new one as it should afford a more protected area.

Maybe it will. The one on mine covers a good portion of the cross member which really isn't needed. So maybe the new one will mount OK with the cat once I remove the existing plate. I'll see this weekend.

01_Excursion I went to order the same skid plate but on the Ford Parts Giant website it stated that the part you show, 8C3Z-7E063-A, is for a 2008-2010 F250 through F550 with 5spd. For my 2005 Ex it states to order 3C7Z-7E063-AA but obviously it fits your Ex. Not sure what gives?

Those are the 2005-2007 actual Ford headlight housings that were gutted and retrofitted with chosen projector and bezel parts. After a failed attempt myself to retrofit a new pair of housings, I just bought another set of housings and sent them off for the up-fit. The headlight/grill support was updated to the 2005-2007 as well, the bottom of the support was cut to work with the original 99-04 bumper which I had just bought from Ford the prior year, and the replacement 99-04 F-250 truck grill was slightly modified to work with both.
