Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Had some sun breaks earlier, but I think they are gone now. Getting some lunch and then going to put the new lid on the refrigerator vent and the new electric cord access panel in. Then I might think about going for a drive and give the 'new' transmission real check ride up Gopher Valley to Peavine and maybe Powerhouse or just Peavine back into the Valley.... just depends on how long it takes on the camper.
Heading out to work on the camper.
I know there are a couple of collectors out there and some folks who just like to look. The following is a link to the Historical Society auction with some old tractors, tools and horse drawn stuff - for those who might be interested in 'working' history.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Got the refer vent hood on the roof of the camper, put on a couple of RV downspouts to get the water out from the sides of the camper. Also got a couple of seams cleaned up and sealant on them. Looking good for now, but this fall it is going to have to go in for a thorough inspection and probably all of the seems cleaned up and re-sealed.
Not sure if I got more sealant on the camper or on me.
Call us crazy, but Sun thru Wed is supposed to be relatively nice for March so we are going to load the camper up and give the rebuilt tranny a workout and test up to Silver Falls on Sun, coming home on Wednesday. #1 son will be here to babysit the house and 3 cats - one of them is his. Two cats and 3 dogs will be with us. Should be a relaxing time! At least there should be water coming over all of the waterfalls.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 32, clear and dry. Don't know how long the clouds will stay away, but the sunshine is looking nice as it pokes up from behind the mountains.
1. Chris, why would anyone want to spend a night in Vancouver?
2. We have stove and an oven...and a furnace that will drive you out of the camper if you set it too high.
Morning Jim and those to follow.
Why would anyone want to stay in Vancouver? Renee has a dental appointment at 8am and it's easier than fighting the Portland traffic.
