For those not familiar with NJ and why the high rate for NJ along with NYC. I'm being conservative on the western exposure. There are people in the Eastern PA region that commute to NYC by train.

It's an interesting story of how this all came about, and the response to a doctor who was just saying, stop eating sugar to people he was amputating. Dr. Tim Koakes was going through the same thing.

Then you start to hear how bad of a scientist Ancel Keyes was, manipulated data, actually lied, and then the grain and sugar companies just pushed skewed into the medical and government world. Teicholtz, Taubes, and others have done a good job of looking into what he did. And I can relate, I saw the same thing in SAE papers and work within my industry. It hard to get over you own bias and it's easy to stay in the tunnel, ignoring results you think are errant, when in fact they are real.

One of the best lines in the video was about Scientists just following each other. Real Science is challenging what the current "belief" is... Of course I'm paraphrasing here... But isn't that the absolute truth?!

Everyone should own a copy of this book and read it cover to cover. I listened to the authors speak on a podcast for two hours and bought the 777 page book. It arrived today. My buddy had a copy on the shelf at his house and I read some and had to get it.

We have somewhat parallel work-styles/history, I won't go into mine, but I po'd plenty of folks over my career in Chevron IT - particularly the "establishment" and those in the herd. Many new things in IT weren't invented, or even thought of, (and certainly not something they had for sale) by Big Blue, yet going against that and you'd just might as well quit. I'll leave it at that... Happy to take it to email or PM...

I do find it interesting that there is this community of folks that happen to own Ford 6.0s and hang out on FTE, and seem to have many common threads... Hmmm....

Also something to point out is when a scientist is hired by a company he/she tends to want to keep
the boss happy so they can keep making money so they’re always going to skew the results in a favorable light for the company that hired them.

One more reason to skip Dorman parts.
Just take a look at the welds on this up pipe.

I thought my welding was bad, But this makes me look very good.
On top of that they are asking US $106.60 over on Ebay for that.

That’s true, unfortunately it is also true about the Cleveland Clinic and Harvard.

They have to use something as a training subject for those learning to weld in China, especially when you start bringing in the Uighurs to fill the empty positions of the unreported deaths.

Sean, you could probably be the plant manager if you wanted to travel.

Maybe not as poignant but definitely more entertaining - "We've got Kellogs Corn Flakes from an anti-masturbation crusade."

You weren't kidding Jack. I'll never eat Corn Flakes again. I wouldn't have anyway, but now I need to see if there is anything else in my house made by Kellogs.

If you do more digging on just about everything else you buy from the store you probably won’t want to eat it either! Even buying from the “Whole Foods” hoity toit store or buying so called “organic” you are still getting a bunch of chemicals, MSG, and don’t forget that if crops are watered with flouridated water the plants are laced with flouride as well. Flouride is toxic and has absolutely no place in our drinking water (city water supply) or in out mouth. No mercury fillings or flouridated toothpaste, dental treatments etc.

There's really no way around it, unless you produce all your own food, and only eat your own food. You can eat only the best at home, but the first time you eat out, or even buy a bottle of water.....forget it.

Whole Foods has twice been busted putting organic labels on non-organics. And besides, I haven't set foot in that store since Amazon bought them out.

The FDA keeps *******izing the rules for its organic label. So what was considered organic ten years ago doesn't even exist anymore. All you can do is hope it's not as bad as the conventionally grown products, or at the very least, non-GMO. But who knows anymore. It really is a crapshoot these days. And now they're going to start fertilizing crops with liquified cadavers. What could possibly go wrong there?!!
