Peanut allergies...nonexistent until peanut crops started being rotated with cotton crops in the same soil. Cotton is not a food product so it is heavily treated with chemicals then peanuts are planted in the same soil and absorb the toxins. Monsanto...don’t get me started on that corporation! If anyone wants some research material dig into the true history of that corporation and who all they were alliances with. Don’t trust Wikipedia, find some real material that has not been edited to suit the agenda.
I wasn't whole-heartedly anti-fluoride until the fluoroquinolone reaction. My aunt who was a periodontist got me to only use baking soda when I was a child and I hate the taste of saccharine. Since the reaction, if I drink fluorinated water for a few days I mildly go into relapse. They were promoting putting statins into water recently.
Yeah Chris, Tony the Tiger has a new perspective for me now, along with Capt' Crunch.
I don't worry much about our water. When we started breeding tilapia we bought a filter that goes so far as to remove low levels of radiation. Although we still use tap water for showers.
I just remembered a movie from 2009 that was a real eye-opener for me, Food, Inc. They talk about the effect of high fructose corn syrups in nearly everything on the shelves, among other ingredients, as well as the marketing tricks used in stores, and slaughter house conditions. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.
Need some help from my FTE brothers , as most of you know , The Hog Hauler is Down , her body has been taken care of with care , The Interior needs some cleaning but it’s not like terrible , tried my best to stay on top of the vacuuming and carpet / upholstery cleaning , this truck was my traveling office and family / Ranch limo, here’s my question , what are these trucks really worth , Engineless , I’m having a hard Time believing such a dysfunctional engine would crash the cost of such a nice frame to body beast, the drive train is a power house , and has the best seats than any other brand of vehicle out there, what is the real worth , open discussion , ready Go$$$$$$$$

Scott,
I can tell you what my friend who toasted his engine did. His was an '04 SRW F350 4x4 SC/LB Lariat in garage kept condition and very well maintained, around 140K miles. He put it out on Auto Trader for around $4500, engine was possibly repairable. I told a number of folks here about it as I knew he'd take less - likely $3k or maybe lower. He sold it to his mechanic who was either going to do the one cylinder or short block it and sell it. I think he did get around 3K from the mechanic. Frankly I've seen them go for more, yours also being a non-rust CA truck. Take a person like Jack who will one day have the most perfect 6.0 engine ever assembled, but then put it in a truck that, ahem, has seen a lot of salt.... There are others out there that would just go get an Ashville Engines short block, swap all your stuff over and still be thousands ahead...
One thing you might just toss around, is pricing out a truck in our area like yours but with a new engine. Then see what it'd cost to have your mechanic throw in the short block. I'm guessing you should get $15K or so for your truck, quite possibly more. Do the math and think about it. People still love the Heavy Dutyness of a Ford and they couldn't get something like yours without it being ragged out and tired. If it were me, I'd check options, even a guaranteed junk yard motor (there are plenty) and it is worth a heck of a lot more as a runner and a rust free CA one at that...
My $.02 and best of luck to you. And no offense Jack!
Scott
On Edit: other mechanics may flip trucks too, but my friend used Fords Only up by Shingle Springs - owner is Russ Murphy (530) 295-1200. Maybe see if he'd be interested and what he'd give you for it... (as a last gasp)
Thanks for the input Scott, seems to be the norm on stock 6.0s , Ashville Engine was about the same price , then you start adding in all the goodies , a 4g engine at that point went up to around 10 to 16g , or not put all the goodies in and still looking around six thousand plus with Install, I love the idea of bringing in top dollar for my truck , my mechanic up in Sonora would have been interested if 4x , I told him my Michlin tires have taken me more places than some four wheelers , wondering if the Egr cooler can be reused , nothing wrong with the welds or body , it was just the connection was not tightened ( apparently ) Enough , it took six years to show up , install was done on 6/13/2014 along with the New OEM oil cooler .
