There was discussion in China in the Oct-Nov timeframe about something going on. Medical people and scientists started to warn about it, they were silenced. At least one doctor who tried to bring attention died from the disease he was warning about as I'm sure we all know. And their character now shows once the "party" warned of not supplying the world with resources it controls.
The hope that you could bring them into the world order was a fool's errand from the start. Just like communism and socialism is, it always discounts the bad side of human nature. The biggest promotor, Bernie, got kicked out of the commune for lack of doing his fair share as a young person. He never has wanted to do his fair share, they never do.
We'll have to see how the various countries interpret China after this. It would interesting to take a pole within Google to see how the enclave of people who thought it better to work with China then the USA on AI views the situation, as they are our future. They probably talk amongst themselves as this is the Trump virus.
WHO and the UN are about useless to me, a bunch of buffoons, who if we listened to would have the entire world as a third would country.
in any situation, the lack of maturity of the politicians and the press cause panic. That can be during a snow storm, hurricane, or this disease. You can bitch we should have had more ventilators, or you can bitch we wasted so much on flu vaccine that was never used, or that effective.
I don't think maturity has anything to do with it. It is all agenda-driven, especially in the days of Trump. Have you seen the video montages of tv news people all over the country using the exact same verbiage like they're reading a script? That's because they are. They've all been given their marching orders...and abide like good little minions.

The problem they have is pretty much everyone in the real world sees this. I am not taking away from what's happening, but they are politicizing and starting the blame game right out the gate. That's wrong.
But as the left does, nothing's off limits as long as they get power back.

That would only be a problem if most Americans had half a brain, but they've been highly effective in dumbing us down with their socialist indoctrination camps they call schools, unhealthy food, prescription medications, vaccinations, and pollution of the water tables.
All I can really confirm is what I'm doing. I have 2 elderly family members that are on lock down. They probably live and enjoy life more than most of us.
I go about work and life, minus a few things. Wash my hands a little more than usual. Stay out of big crowds, same as I did in the 90's when we had a virus or pandemic out and about
it's just something isn't Wright on this round. Way over hyped in such a short time.
Again I am being cautious, but at the same time sceptical.
Today all of our neighbors were home, the only car missing was my wife's, who at 76yo is at her hair salon.... doing hair. High schools girls are calling in for appointments for getting their hair done for prom. That's a maybe. Neighbors are teachers, government workers, and a bartender.
Les went to Whole Foods, well stocked but not many people in there. The frenzy is over and homes well stocked I guess.
Our neighbors across the street were out with their kids enjoying playing in the yard and the street. The street wasn't busy. Older couples taking walks, younger couples jogging. A lovely day in the neighborhood.
I'm glad to see at least a little normalcy in this crazy time. God Bless your wife. Sounds like she's more worried about her clients than herself. God Bless her for that. Tell her for me to be careful.
She actually has an advantage in the current situation. Just about every salon is set up for maximum production per square foot, so the sinks are in one area and close together, and the stations are all in a row and close together.
Her salon is set up with individual rooms for everything. So a client is in the 9ft x 9ft area with a sink and station, a cube with one doorway. So you are not only 9ft away from each other, but somewhat walled in. It ain't your average salon.
Alright TMT smartypants question coming along. What's with the beds in there is it a salon salon or salon?
Probably going to get hammered on that question but it was meant in jest and I know you're smiling.
The one with the Bose setup and chimes is the facial room. Facials take from 30 minutes to 1 1/2hrs. I can get you an appointment for the 1 1/2hr facial, but you just lost the discount, and bring your credit card 'cause it ain't cheap. It is a fully soundproof room that I rebuilt. Did the cabinet too. It has a humidifying hot towel oven, not a microwave.
The other room is the hot wax room. She's had male bodybuilders come in for full body waxing, not something I would ever, ever care for. She is not far from the Jersey beach and it's amazing (to me) how many girls come in for a bikini wax, but with the strings ...... You do not want hot wax done in the facial rooms, although many salons do that.
Hopefully, there will be more normalcy coming and quick. I just tried to schedule an appointment with the hematologist and they aren't even scheduling until May due to the Kung-Flu.
Thanks for the laughs guys, I needed that today, obviously...
