The home is fine. About 1/4 mile there a little spot where 5-6 big trees came down around an intersection, it looks like a mini tornado just hit.
Those pics are south Jersey, south of where Pete is.
I'm at the farm now doing some cleanup. Most of the town is without power, branches and a few trees snapped or down. The farmhouse is OK; power lines to the pump house are OK, what I was worried about. The cellar and pump house are not filling with groundwater - good as you can hit it 18-24” deep where the farm is.
A few issues at the windbreaks.
That's about a 14" diameter tree. Several of the old pines in the woods that stood proud of the tree line are down.
Cell phone service sucks, probably a tower's backup failed.
One down in LBI/Manahawkin too. Brant Beach to Mud City, WENT ACROSS THE CAUSEWAY BRIDGE!
I'm still cleaning the carpet of little branches down in the backyard from the pine and gum trees we have. Some areas of Barnegat still did not have power yesterday.
I hope everyone is doing okay. The fires here in CA and OR are really kicking our tail feathers. Today the Air Quality Index hit 487 around noon and has since dropped into the high 180’s at 4:00 PM.
the nearest fire is about 30 miles from me, but it is 470k acres and burning in several Wilderness Areas and National Forests.
It hasn’t helped having wind gusts in the 50+ MPH range and Relative Humidities Below 10%

Stay Safe Will... We have a fire up the hill from us, also about 30 miles - smoke is crazy bad, have friends that are closer and they had to evac. We're packed and ready to roll. A couple of unfortunates for us: have a window and wall project going - last week about half the stucco was torn off the house (before this fire started) so we've got nice dry plywood where stucco should be. Other problem is we've bought a new F150 that we think is sitting at the dealer - we're afraid to call and go get it as we'd have to choose between it or the 6.0 as to who pulls the horses out if we have to evac... :-/

In-home incident. I came up too fast under the engine crane, hit the boom. Les called my name from the open garage door to say goodbye while I was transitioning under, startled me. I was moving to get it done fast, trying to do some things before going to the farm where I needed to be these last two days. I tried driving yesterday to get down there, way too painful.
I feel like I did the old WW1 joke, British soldier calls out "Fritz", German soldier pops his head up out of the trench.
I've had whiplash before, motorcycle accident, commuting to work someone modified my '66 Mustang fastback to half it's trunk size. They never hurt this bad, but the vertebra and discs were never in this condition before. I've been having vertebra issues this last year. I got an MRI last spring where the doc said I'm a mess.

Sorry to hear this, Jack - no injury to the head? That can be dangerous too as we age... Hope rest and ice/heat/meds get you back on your feet soon...
