I did the same thing for the big trailer. I planned on keeping it for a while. However after having it, and it being my first tandem axle trailer, I'm not sure. It's the leonard trailer I bought, and I'm just not happy with it. Doesn't tow as well or as easily as other trailers I've used. Dunno if it's just a cheap built trailer, which it kind of feels like or what the deal is, but it might get replaced when i find one I really like within my budget.
I leave the tag on mine and keep it in the fenced in back yard. I guess if someone wants to go back there and get the tag they probably could.. but it's not really a big worry for me.
thats how 3 of the 5 that got stolen were in our neighborhood. the one has a 6ft tall privacy fence. not only did they steal the plate but also the fish finder screen he had mounted in the boat. wasnt a chain fence or anything like that either.. we think what they did was pulled down the fence section since they were just nailed into place and got in that way but we couldnt find any that were loose. so not exactly sure how they got in there..
If it gets stolen I'll file for a lost/stolen plate... but I live between to old retired guys, plus I'm in the country... nothing happens around here with out one of them seeing it.

Same here. I've got enough stuff to worry about without having to take a tag off a trailer every time I park it. I'd probably forget and take off with out the tag one day and get a ticket, knowing my luck. I'd really hate to have to blame a ticket on Bob.
Heading to the coast tomorrow. Got to take some of Mary's stuff over to her tonight. She's moving to Virginia in a week. We talked about it over the weekend, and I won't be planning to move up there.
Bring on the fish! Or at least the Gumbo, and Low Country Boil, and sand and sun and 'skeeters!

Back before we got lazy and kept a up to date tag on the 20' trailer we always kept it in the truck anyways because we use to lose them. Found that tag the other day.... it expired 4/13... lol. Dad's gonna put a permanent on it since he will be using it some now that I upgraded to the 36'.
Whaddup fellers!
Shari and I rode out to Sparta Mo. after dinner and brought Ka'Bluey home. We shipped him here sometime in April, so I'm already digging having him back in the driveway.
Y'all behave.
Vacation is definitely over here. Busy as crap and I've started my aforementioned coursework. Wrote my first essay in 9 years yesterday, a 9-pager with cited sources. I'm sure this is just a warm up round...but schnitzel just got real...
