hes gettin around. today is supposed to be his last day of PT.. after that hes on his own... hes walking around better than he did before the accident.. before his hip was at 60% now theyre saying its back to 100% where it should be.. which the reason his hip was bad is because of his bad knees (unfortunately still has those). but if he can keep up with the exercises he might not have to have them fixed
Welp Bike has a full tank of fuel, got all our clothes loaded in the womans car. Plan on swinging over to our freinds house to load up their stuff im the mornimg and hopefully be on the road by 7:30.
Hello Carolina! Just arrived at Topsail, and there's a guns and ammo store here which I either failed to notice before or is new. Either way, I can't wait to scope it out!
Good evening everyone.
Going to introduce myself.
My name is Mike, I arrived in the Sneads Ferry area on Tuesday afternoon from Wisconsin.
My family and I are looking to settle in the Hampstead area soon.
Going once things get settled I'll have time to make a GTG or two.
Rolled into the cabin yesterday about 4.. just as we crossed Black mountain we got slammed with heavy rains. But hey the women stayed dry in the car while me and my buddy got hammered on.
Couple pics from the cabin...
Made a beer and steak trip last night then sat in the hot tub drinking cold beer watching steaks cook.

wonder if you gave that super rig behind you there an inferiority complex.. your camper looks as long as his trailer and your pulling it with a much smaller rig lol.
Buzzed around a bunch of sketchy back roads yesterday with no GPS every time we came to a stop sign all 4 of us would vote left or right. After hitting several roads that all of a sudden turned to rock we finally dropped out on 276 as it came into Maggie valley. We are staying in Clyde just past where 209 takes a hard right, GPS says 15 miles by the highway/interstate. Our new route to Maggie Valley is a 100 times funner.
Mike, Glad to have you. You are in luck, I think we have a dinner planned that way this week on Thursday to meet a VA member that is over at Topsail this week.
Still got lots to do to get the truck ready for the road.
ya know the one thing i hate is all my 6.0 tech friends are many many miles away... what should have been a 5 min job turned into 4 hrs tearing apart the bottom half of my tranny to get the broken half of the sensor our of the stupid valve body yesterday.
Consider the dragon slayed... We ran them up it, and then back down it. Had a hell of a day on 2 wheels.. Checked in with about 750 miles on the bikes since Saturday morning.
Few pics. That's our bikes in the corner... then the tree of Shame, a piece of all the wrecked nicked from the dragon.
