But the stupid duties have a heavier frame. Also that 7700 was with a job box in the bed, is say it's right around 7500 without that.
I thought you were meaning the older truck you had the trailer hooked to was the one weighing in at the 7700.. and have also heard the newer trucks are heavier in the frame than the older trucks were.. but the bodies themselves got lighter on the standard truck bodies. wasnt referring to the utility lockbox beds and things like that.. just standard body to std body.. if we were to look at the SD built as ambulances they were said to weigh just over 11000lbs because of the large work cab and all the equipment stored in them. dont know how true that is though for the weight.. just what ive heard on them

The ranger cranked long enough to load on the trailer this mornimg before it died again.
glad to hear it ran long enough to get loaded at least.. made your job a little easier.

I'll go out of my way a hour to avoid tolls, government gets to much of my momey as it is.
Does anybody have a set of these laying around? I'm trying to scare up a set to put on my old F100. They originally came on F150 XLT and some full size Bronco between 1990 and 1996.

The tolls I had to go thru they hit you up for 2 cars as it was a 2 axle trailer.

When you live in N.E. and come west over the Hudson River into N.Y. the ONLY way back is thru a toll! GWB, Tappan Zee or Newburgh that was a little out of the way.
And don't get me started on the NJ truway!
Then weekends in one of the other NY boughs to see family and more tolls with out a trailer so I know tolls!
EZ Pass helps even with the trailer.

Another reason not to go North... or west to any of the Raleigh/Durham area or similar.

actually you can get around raleigh without paying tolls.. been through there a couple times already.. no tolls so far.. only place i pay tolls now is going through downtown portsmouth.. and thats only because they made every way in and outta that stupid town tolled... upside is the highways not as congested there for that reason lol
Yeah. That I am aware of we only have one Toll road. Though, using it vs driving through traffic for me is mighty convenient, so I do have a Toll Pass for that one road in Lucille. Otherwise I avoid it. The pass does make it cheaper, and though I can get where I want to go normally with out that road, it does make my life a little easier, so I don't mind paying a little for that convenience.
Hope everyone has a good weekend planned. I've got another joob interview to knock out today, then I'm prepping for spending the day at my buddies farm in Raeford. Him and his son want me to get a hunting license so I can join them this year. But I figure I need to get a little practice in before that.
thats the same reason i have one.. those tolls going in and out of portsmouth is $1.5-$2 without the pass depending on the time of day your going through... with the pass its $.80 something - $1.05 depending on the time of day..
My daughter ,who lives near Raleigh, said that a friend somehow didn't pay a toll. Cameras tracked down the friend, and she was sent a bill for $.25 through the mail.
In NY, going back to LI a couple of years ago, the Tappan Zee cost me about $30 for an empty trailer and my F250. I think it was $18 both ways on the Throgs Neck bridge. The GW was free (leaving the city). Got to the Delaware River Gap wasn't sure what it would be.....$2 for both truck and trailer.
I don't like big cities anyways so if they're going to charge me admission to get in them via a certain road I simply won't go. I pay to much in taxes already, no need for damn tolls. Jacksonville and Morehead are big enough, hell to big really for my liking. Then again my hometown has 2 little country stores and both city limit signs are on the same post....

That's actually how NC chose to do it. They bill the vehicle owner by way of tracking the license number vs. having toll booths that you have to slow down for. But oh are they quick to catch you if you have a concealed license plate on that toll road, from what I understand.. accidentally or not.

I don't miss them NY tolls at all.
Same for the NJTP but at least you can go thru them at 55 MPH.
Oh and DO NOT go thru the NY EZ Pass lanes faster than the posted speed limit or they pull the pass for 30 days the first time then for good after that.

Yes a photo of the plate if you don't have EZ Pass or Quick Pass down here.
Wife got turned around and ran on the toll road not knowing she did. They sent a bill and she started to blame me till I took a picture of her cars plate and showed her. She had the EZ Pass but it was in the shipping sleeve in the glove box so was not seen by the system.
Up north you have to use tolls as they force you to as there is no way around them like down here.
