Mine says convoy. Would that make a big difference in delivery time?
it might since it is trucked out instead of train, could be slower, they can put fewer vehicles on a truck than a train and have to wait for an available truck. And they probably want a full vehicle so need multiple units to be ready.
I know that with train cars they just start loading them until the car fills up and send it on its way. If it takes extra time to load, nothing anyone can do about it. It's also true on the unload from the rail terminal. They typically unload whatever they have for a given terminal and it sits there until a truck can be loaded with enough vehicles to justify the transport. You would think that small markets could get hung up if any given delivery is in an unfavorable load/unload cycle. Just hypothesizing here.
On my 2011, the dealer went with me to the train terminal the day after it unloaded and let me drive it to the dealership. It was kind of geeky but fun.
I am going to quit reading here it keeps upsetting me that people are getting higher vin trucks before me. And ordered after me. I know how the ones that ordered really early feel.
