The truck I wanted, that the dealer screwed up the order on and then re-ordered in July - the big blue Lariat Ultimate dually with every option just arrived at my dealership...well ahead of the red dually which was ordered in May. Of course, now I've gone ahead and bought another 2016.
Nah. Didn't feel like the $1K for the LED lights was worth it for me. The vast majority of my driving is not at night. I know crazy at $72K what is another grand but I am fairly practical. The only thing I feel like I splurged on was the Adaptive Cruise Control. Didn't really need it but got it any way...

I said I'd never get another moonroof after my 2010 F350 started smelling like dirty shoes inside due to leaking moonroof but I wanted the LED lights so I had to take the moonroof due to the Ultimate Package. Hopefully the drains work better on the 2017

I got the LED lights too but my build is a lot like yours. Will be towing a 30' 5ver. Probably the last truck I'll ever own so I thought what the heck go for it.
I heard from my friend at ktp yesterday and he's saying they moving very well in body . They are doing 75 a hour and a total of 550 in a 8 hour shift. He said they were cooking yesterday. They beat their goal by 230 . Hope that helps someone on the ropes
Just looked at KTP rumor mill and there are a lot of gripes about not getting 40 hours per week on the line. OT scheduled for many weekends but the basic week is still seeing early dismissals every week. Not all parts of the plant are working well.

My friend works in body and there stacking them up . I have no information on other parts of plant I wish I did sorry . I did ask him to go in early and walk the plant and report back . I'm not going to tell you what he said other than no go lol

After seeing the critical list from the dealer last week I realized things are moving, but slowly. The good news from your friend is they are filling the stacker with bodies and sheet metal. From what I can deduce from our very small window into the production is the just in time deliveries, when one item fails to meet schedule, backs up everything. The next body out of the stacker might be a black Platinum crew cab but the panoramic sunroofs didn't arrive. Once all the lanes out of the stacker are blocked the whole operation gets jammed up and then the adaptive steering comes up short and the ones which made it onto the line are stopped too. One would think that after this experience with the F-150 rollout management could have done a better job predicting need and securing competent suppliers. As complex as these vehicles are there should not be an ever growing list of shortages. The deficiencies should start correcting rather than increasing.
Well on the bright side I've seen a few people on here have there ETA moved up including myself. I'm hoping they are getting a handle on it now and we all will be getting our beloved trucks in a better time frame
