Build Progress - VIN's and build dates

Retail Order
8/23 order with dealer
8/30 Ford accepted order
9/15 Vin & Build week of 10/10
9/27 dealer says ETA to them is 10/31
ETA 10/31 as it stands now.
If these #'s hold thats 9 weeks from order accepted to delivery, pretty good in this case. Not sure why one order is within reason and others are not. After reading your delays and others I can tell you if its not here within a week or two of that I'm going to whatever dealer has the closest truck to what I ordered. My patience is already near non-existence.

Sold my 99 F350 CC LWB bought 8/98 sold 8/2016. Thank you for the info, maybe I can hope and pray mine will be here 11/3. Will not hold my breath, going ELK hunting 11/15, do not want to use my wife's 2012 F150 ecoboost, but if I have to so be it. Need a window to put 1000 miles before I tow, probably to much to ask for. hope your dates stick.

Hey we're all just one big family here waiting together. Getting your order from 8/30 is pretty dang good I'm glad for you. I thought I was getting a 9-6 build but that wasn't in the cards and a lot of people were not happy about it either because they ordered way earlier than me but I really hope you get yours in this time frame. Just because some of us have have to wait 20 weeks or more shouldn't mean everyone has to do good luck

You might be on to something. I emailed my dealer last Wednesday after talking to ford chat about my new 12-4 ETA. I got the manager involved and low and behold today I've got a new 11-1 date . I ordered on 7-16 and 12-4 seemed like to long when other people were getting there's a lot earlier not that I'm not happy with them getting there's but I just wanted to know why . I still don't have the answer to that but they did move my date up some. Who knows if I'll get it when they say but I'm hopeful

I did just buy a Ford Explorer sport from them 2 weeks ago so I'm sure that helped a little. I hope you continue to post after you finally get yours. I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of pictures from everyone waiting now lol

Means it's not built yet. It's a placeholder bogus date. When it changes, it will be the actual build date. But it appears it doesn't get changed until a couple of days AFTER it is built.
